Doesn't anyone see the irony of Harry Saxe-Coburg Gotha dressing up as a Nazi? I think we should leave him alone, after all they do a great job, they all stayed in London during the Blitz gawd bless 'em, Queen Muvver - diamond lady etc etc (fade to the strains of God save the Queen)

I want to know why it was never pointed out to him by any of the palace staff or any member of the family (William was with him)that it would be a bad choice of costume and what would happen if the press got hold of a pic!

The irony that his lineage is German. His family is regularly lambasted as being German. His mother had to return her Merc 500SEL in favour of British car, to which she complained along the lines of "what's everyones problem - after all, I married a German".

Actually you'll find his name is Prince Henry Charles Albert David windsor Indeed it is! Strange that there's not a Fritz in there anywhere! NOT! I do find it odd that anyone who's anti-monarchy dismisses the current royals as 'just a bunch of Germans anyway!' It's funny that it's fine to tag a family as 'German' when in fact the last of their line born in Germany was George II some 322 years ago, and yet we are duty-bound to consider anyone else who's been here for five frickin minutes to be as British as ourselves! Now that's ironic!

Sure, but I was quoting Harry's mother, Diana, and her marriage to Charles. I was making the point that even she referred to them as Germans. Oh sorry mate, dumbarse that I am, I didn't read your post properly. Anyway, yeah but no but yeah but no! Anyway, Di was certainly not the sharpest tool in the shed, and with her ultra-pc outlook on life, it only adds weight to my point if even St Dianna felt comfortable calling them Germans.

On a side note, I thought the Nazi get-up was excellent.
