Where did Penge say he was concerned!?!?
Some concern? Don't make me laugh! It's an interesting news story. I didn't give my opinion on the story, just posted the BBC's headline and first paragraph to encourage debate. Funny how you're the only person to see otherwise! Are the BBC wrong to publish such a story if I'm wrong to post it? I often post links to news stories so people can discuss it on here, and this is no different! The last one was on Jan 3 - NHS fear over 24-hour drink plans - and nobody replied! And Spikey, I am allowed to put my two penn'orth into a debate, just like anyone else. I wasn't trying to "score points" off anyone, just wondering at the motivation behind the thread, that's all. Maybe I should just have noted that my son's name is currently no 23 in the list!

Mohammed has become one of the most popular names for baby boys in England and Wales. [Link]
I should have known a Loony Left would yet again, try to accuse or insinuate somebody of being racist... I'm actually more concerned somebody would call their child Jack than Mohammed!
I was just wondering why you felt it was worth starting a thread about this. I never mentioned racism, nor insulted you. You are very quick to resort to name-calling at the earliest opportunity. This demeans your argument and deflects from whatever point you are trying to make. Personally I don't care whether Mohammed is in this list or not. I know several people of that name and they're all very nice. So what difference does it make? Don't be so pathetic and pedantic. The reason this thread was posted wasn't out of concern, it's just the fact that Mohammed is a name of foreign origin and shows how multicultural this country is, no where has it been said it's bad, it's the fact that it's the first time this has happened. Oh, and if a name such as w***yfingers had been top, i'm sure that would have got a mention aswell, so it's not a racialist thing.

Right, OK. Of course you're allowed an opinion, I'm not denying you that but I just felt your first comment on the thread was a little odd, that's all. Seems I was misunderstood.

Penge you daft racist, you can't question such things, you're English, it's not allowed! Well I'm f***ing concerned! Just as I'd be concerned if 'Hank' was in the top twenty most popular names list of Kuwait eh Seff me ole matey skip! I bet you'd certainly have something to say about that wouldn't ya pal! It only goes to confirm what I already knew about the true population figures of the UK today and lies and cover-ups of the current government. Wave goodbye to your culture everyone!

I'm sure if w*nkyfingers had been top (which I hear it is, in Brighton) it would've been worthy of comment. But what if it was Brian, or Colin? Would we be having this debate?

IMHO, it's much harder having a debate on a messageboard rather than in person because there are no non-verbal cues and you can't pick up nuances of irony or shades of meaning which can be conveyed face-to-face. So misunderstandings are more common and people can get irate because it's sometimes difficult to get their message across. Just an observation, for what it's worth.

Poverty isn't the only reason these people come over here just be lucky that you can live in a country where you won't be violated, raped and totured on a daily basis.
