Only watched the second, everyone looked a bit rusty but that team resembles nothing like what we will put out at Brentford. The pitch seemed slow and players kept falling over, perhaps it needed a good cut…

I only watched up until we went 4-0 up. Could easily have been 7 by then. We were so in control, it looked effortless.
Was thinking it was like watching a top 6 team with nearly all their international players still on leave. Sound familiar?
Got a good feeling for this season.

Hopefully Umeh will get game time. According to clickbait OG has identified him as Mitchell's back up so no need to sign Sessignon.

Tayo is out on loan (I believe) so I think that tells you what OG thinks of him.

Correct. Stockport. Seemed to come badly of the rails when loaned to Coventry and recalled within weeks

I always remember one pre-season we got beat 5-1 by Crawley who were still non-league back then and 6-0 by Millwall…..we went on to get promoted that season

I was present at that pre-season encounter at Crawley Town, seated in close proximity to new owner Simon Jordan.
We were not promoted in the season which followed.

I stand corrected Willo, I’m remembering it as the start of the 2004 season we got promoted, but you’re right, it was 2000 when SJ took over and he got rid of Coppell

Coppell departed following the 6-0 drubbing at Millwall.
My understanding is that the parting of the ways was not exactly a case of "You're fired".

I was at the Crawley game. Most of our 11 were from the 1st team.
Shocking display
