I have never been totally convinced by Smith-Rowe and think there may be better options out there. My other observations about the transfer situation in general is that the financial fair play rules will take the sting out of the massively inflated market and players with supposive large price tag's will not cost so much. Whether it is this or next year this will happen i am not sure.

Super rich owners believe they are entitled to buy success and desperate fans are prepared to turn blind eyes if their club is involved. Which makes our own success that much more impressive.

Liverpool fleeced us twice and I hope the lesson was learned. Stand aside, let Fulham have him. Ironically, with only one willing and able buyer the price might drop to an acceptable level.

I wish we would end the courtship of Smith-Rowe, once and for all. It's plain as a pikestaff that he has no interest in joining Palace. He wants to win his place in the Arsenal team and, seemingly, Arsenal is happy with that.

Taking the fee out of the equation, it really comes down to his fitness. If he stays fit I struggle to see how he wouldn't improve our team. He scores, he creates, he is full of energy, he's not afraid of a tackle. If he joined and stayed fit I imagine he'd be a £50 million player by next summer.

That's very far from the wildest assertion I've ever seen written on these boards. The nice thing is, again, if Dougie and Ollie decide between him he's worth the money that really supersedes any of my own thoughts as far as I'm concerned. I always thought ESR looked a player and without Glasner I'd be very cautious but the more I think on it, he might be able to get the best out of him. Local boy too so you never know.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

My guess is that Palace are interested but that they're not going to break our record transfer fee for a player who has only had a bit part for the past two seasons. This may come down to how much Arsenal actually want to sell him.
