It was a figure of speech.

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

I remember that day, obviously before the internet and mobiles, rumour spread round the ground at one stage that Millwall were winning. I’ve still got the footage of Brian Moore commenting as the buzz went round the ground

I was there, good warm day as I remember?
do recall the buzz and random (misinformed) cheering
an interesting day (was with a jock inlaw who took me oot drinking)

As the years go by I care less and less about Brighton. I've never met any Brighton fans or know any. Sure they are all mostly Chelsea fans anyway.

I would not really care. I would want us to win our game.

i live in worthing, last 6-7 yrs now.
plastic fans.
out to the cafe on sat wearing the tesco bags (arsenal tops have been put away)
youd feel different.
However, always want us to win.

be funny if citeh f*** up sunday & Arse catch em.

Personally I view all football fans as belonging to the same madness as us. Reliant on a bunch of strangers to deliver a good week. I decided years ago to try and forget the dismal Palace stuff asap and spend all my time thinking and rethinking the great results and goals when they happen.

I have no beef with any other club including Brighton. Until any of them are on the pitch against us and then it's war.

So no. I do not care what it means. I love our club and only ever want us to win. And play beautiful football while we do it.

If you wanted your team to lose why would you even bother going to the match to watch them, I certainly wouldn’t, there is something very weird about Spurs supporters as Ange is finding out.

I always want Palace to win. I really couldn't care less what effect it might have on any other team.

With all the noise coming from Spurs fans about wanting their own team to lose tonight….. would you want Palace to lose if it meant Brighton not winning something?

Yes I'd definitely want us to lose and if it was Millwall even more so.
