Literally not one person here is talking about a ‘socialist government’.

Would you welcome a socialist government? Which parties do you think would be socialist and what would their key policies be?

The Tories could start executing family members and there's a sizeable percentage of British voters who would turn around and say "but can you imagine it was Labour?"

A valid point. My attitude to this, as in life, is that I much prefer dealing with people who want to spit in my face rather than stab me in the back.

Why I loathe the Conservatives far more than Labour. Labour detest so much of what I value but are at least open about this. That I can cope with.

Where as the Tories masquerade as promoting the kind of values I have yet have over seen entire swathes of that destroyed. The Tories disgust me.

The looney leftie woke labour party can't even define what a woman is. That alone tells me all I need to know about how much worse they will be.

Again, we have a higher tax burden now than we did under the last Labour government.

If the grand sum of 13 year's work is a few handouts during crisis and an inevitable increase to the minimum wage, I'd suggest you are being very generous with your praise.

This is objectively one of the worst governments we've ever had, by just about any measure.

The Tories have been a shower but please don't forget that during COVID Labour demanded more money be dished out their COVID response was the same as the Tories only more so. I don't remember Starmer and Co demanding the government spend less.

This is totally correct. I voted for Labour in the late 70's. I was an apprentice earning sweet FA but they still took 33% in tax and 6% NI!!!!!! Having promised us the moon and stars. The big unions were holding the country to ransom for huge pay rises while the rest of us got zip. Inflation hit 25%!!!!!

The Tony B Liar gov was simply tory light so no-one other than us old gits have really experienced labour at their "best".

Maybe a little when Gordon the goffer took over and in a desperate attempt to buy the election sold our gold reserves for sweet FA.

I'm looking forward to when all of the smug liberal elite start moaning about them so that I can say 'well you voted for them'.

Heaven help us all when the red tide comes in ... they will undoubtedly turn what is already a national blocked toilet into an open sewer.

I was something of a Wes Streeting fan for his sensible approach to NHS reform and improvement.

Now he has messaged that a vote for Susan Hall is a vote for "racists, white supremacists and Islamophobes the world over "

Has he lost his mind as the London race seems to be closer than expected.

This Labour party are right of Cameron's government. There is nothing left-wing about them.

Are you OK... Again?

Labour will have to deal with the aftermath of conservative c*** ups. No gain without pain.

Doubt it. The Muslim vote is not as impactive as people think. Their lack of assimilation means their population has condensed into relatively few constituencies.

LOL. Lets be honest, those Muslims are just ungrateful. All those decades of Labour councils in places like Oldham allowing them to get away with sexually abusing young white girls and now they have the audacity to vote for somebody else. Is there no loyalty anymore?

Some interesting chatter about the Mayoral race in London though. Looks like turnout has been high in the outer suburbs with the Torys winning local council by-elections in Hillingdon and Wandsworth with the Labour vote dropping.

Now I still cannot see Khan being dethroned but it will be interesting to see if the Tory and Reform vote combined beats what he gets.
