We are certainly going to sell at least 1 player and release some of those out of contract as we need to reduce wage bill and raise some capital for purchases. Keeper can we afford both Henderson and Johnstone? If we get an offer we can't turn down I think 1 will go Central Defender current First choice 3 Andersen, Guehi and Richards with a variety of backups none of whom have let us down. I think Tomkins will be released plus one or both of Clyne or Ward. I think if we get an offer for Holding he will go plus one of 3 current first choices if we get a very good offer. Geuhi seems obvious one but due to his current injury will anyone bid enough to tempt us and will Chelsea match it. Wing Backs we need cover on right for Munoz and Replacement or backup on left for Mitchell. I also think Mitchell is a possible Sale Central Midfield we have probably our strongest group Decoure has been injured and we missed him until Wharton arrived. We also have some good youth players in this area so could we sell one? Attacking midfield Olise is obvious mover but with his recent injuries will a Champions League club take risk? Man U or chelsea would but if rumours about release clause are true they can't meet it. I have a feeling he will stay another season to prove his fitness and get move he wants. Eze we will have to get astronomical offer to consider and I think he is happy so he won't push Backups Ayew and Ahamda. Striker has Mateta improved enough to be number 1, Will anyone try to buy him ? Edouard has been a dissapointment so will we sell to release his wages ? I think Mateta will stay as as Number 1 or backup with us looking at other targets including those out of contract elsewhere

You've put words into my mouth; I think you'll find I've always talked up Dougie's dealings, much more so than most. My point was that there is not a constant production line of players like Olise and Eze in the Championship. Anyway, this is just pointless speculation to kill time between games and to take my mind off the real world!

Clickbait are saying that Chelsea would be prepared to give us Raheem Sterling as part of a deal to sign Olise. Gee thanks Chelsea are there any crap players you want to offload on us? How about Bobby Tambling, oh yeah you did that one already. And you can keep Broja his star is on the decline as he can't even break into the Fulham side. In other news TFL are asking people to avoid congestion around Stamford Bridge where are large number of taxi drivers who are Chelsea fans have unexpectedly turned up. The club as denied this has anything to do with Raheem Sterling's proposed move to Crystal Palace.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

Who's still under contract for another 3 years. Morons

I am sure Raheem would be sooooo motivated to perform to his best level at Palace along with his 50% plus pay cut If Financial Fair Play mean the big clubs get lumbered with massive wage bills for deadwood players they can't shift on then that is a great development. Means they'll have less money to come and get the up and coming talent. No CL for Chelsea = no release clause ?

IF we need to sell then I'd sacrifice Guehi. Olise and Eze who will be harder to replace. Much rarer talent so keep them at all costs. Can then bring in another centre half to play alongside Anderson who will tell them what to do

This is the line of the BBC 'Gossip Column': "Crystal Palace are more open to selling England defender Marc Guehi, 23, rather than offloading French winger Michael Olise, 22, or 25-year-old England winger Eberechi Eze this summer. (Givemesport)"
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

And that’s the problem - they won’t all be fit all the time and some will leave. Do you spend a £60m sale fee on an equivalentish replacement at £60m, knowing you’ll maintain the best-case standard, or do you spend on two players at £30m knowing you won’t be quite as good but you’ll limit the downside risk if one is injured. None of our best players cost anywhere near £60m so see that as bringing in 3 new faces to be integrated into the team over the next 1-2-years like our current crop of best players have.

Otherwise, all guess work with a club where bitter experience has taught it to remain very tight lipped. This is especially in circumstances where the whole media machine is licking its lips over where Eze and Olise are "certainly" going this summer.
