Reported West Ham made him improved offer - 5years. I suppose it depends what offer we made, if we did. Sense from WH prospective, let there new manager look at him for a year and at least get a fee if they offload then.

If we were to sign him his wages would be expensive as we would have to top West Ham who pay more than us usually. I think this was a case of his agent using us to get his player a pay rise.
