One question as we survive another year is: What does a good season for the club look like? Does it mean (pragmatically)? A Top 10 finish ??? (separately) Improve off the field matters. Sales, Recruitment. Infrastructure, stadium plans? I wonder what achievable metrics can be set and how expectations can be managed given the strife this season, directed at Roy, owners and players?

by the time we get a stadium as good as Goodison Park, those feckers will have moved into something commensurate with Arsenal/Spurs. in another ten years, Selhurst will be League One standard. All the other clubs in the Land are upgrading. Edited by PalazioVecchio (03 Apr 2024 11.03am)

I've looked at the next few fixtures for both Luton and ourselves and it is quite conceivable that we will be just four points ahead of Luton on the 21st of April. That is assuming we manage to claim a point against West Ham that weekend. Edit: In fact make that three points. Luton have Bournemouth at home and their winning run has to end sometime, and Brentford at home too. Edited by Slimey Toad (03 Apr 2024 7.39am)

the Link below is about teams surviving on low points. If we cannot achieve that then we really do not deserve the sympathy of anybody. its an easy season for survival, in statistical terms. as mentioned in the OP, we WILL survive. Really we need a major overhaul of everything over the summer. Edited by PalazioVecchio (03 Apr 2024 11.14am)

I can’t see Luton getting more than 7 points from their last 7 games.

I hope we will be OK, but its going to be tight, 5 Points above the drop, for the first time in years I am worried. But cant be down we have to get behind the boys and trust in our players and management

We have to be matematically save entering the last round. They play Fulham @ home who are somewhere in mid-table with nothing to play for. Nottingham in Burnley. We play Villa and when nerves come in ....

I'm literally praying that we stay up. I promise to go to church/mosque/temple - whichever is the correct God - should we stay up. Edited by ASCPFC (06 Apr 2024 7.11pm)
