Yep surely they have collected money under false pretences? Anyone willing to bet that the flags don’t materialise and the money is donated to a local charity?

They said on the 19th that the flags were for the Wet Spam game on the 21st, that went well. So hf, WHEN are these flags materialising? Or, have you got a load of new hoodies/t-shirts, new drum, new megaphone with other peoples money?

Indeed, I'm not happy about donating to something that hasn't happened.

You're money may have literally gone up in smoke as they wasted money on the six smoke canisters they threw on the pitch before yesterday's game!

Stewards took 2 or 3 of them away at half time maybe for that offence.

According to Google the Lwr Holmesdale has 5,510 seats & the hf said they were ordering 1,000 flags to be handed out, so that leaves 4/5ths of supporters not having a flag. Also, even at the £4k raised that equates to £4 per flag. Think about that.

Think there was a lot of money obtained under false pretences, imo.

I’m no closer to this than anybody else on this subject but I thought that the flags were capable of being used more than once, and therefore may be more resilient than a single use plastic one. If so £4 per flag seems reasonable…but we have to see them in use first!

hats off to palace, they were always gonna be louder, and hate to say it but they were impressive ALL bouncing and singing.

Agreed. They're not going to be single use. They're reportedly ready to go once the club restore the banner. Some of the chats on here are becoming a bit far fetched its just a matter of time. Up the palace

What happens if the club doesn't restore the banner & why should they? What happens then? What happens to peoples money?

I missed this thread somehow. It sounds like something I'd have thrown a tenner at....even if I don't like the politics that sometimes comes with the fanatics.....All ends up it looks like I lucked out on something dodgey here.

Well whoever it is you are getting your information from needs telling that the banner wasn't part of the deal. People donated for the flags not the issue with the banner . Thats all people are saying and those that donated are entitled to an explanation and the offer of their money returning now the goalposts have been moved .
Rumour of what the money has been spent on will only happen when underhand tactics are obvious .

I can't get my head around how anybody would part with any money for this whole fiasco
It's not about Palace it's about the HF as the only thing they are fanatical about is themselves
To put it into context.
Walking into the ground some kid wearing black comes up to you & says " oi mate give us £4 & you can rent this flag to wave during he game"
Not sure how many people would take them up on that other than for their kids,
I suppose they could get recycled if not used
Sell them down the coast to stick on sandcastles

With the whole "Cashless" thing these days he would need to have a card machine with him to take the money -
