Wharton is in a different league to Franca.

He'll start every game he's fit for. When Doucoure comes back, Lerma will drop to the bench.

Lerma can play CB.

On paper he’s a shoe in but with Wharton, Doucoure, Lerma, and Ozoh we have 4 defensive/holding midfielders worthy of a place in a PL team. OG has the luxury of rotating them so they are fresh and hopefully less injury prone. Given he is big on tactics , analysing the opposition and choosing the best team he may well decide they all have different strengths and pick the most appropriate pairing depending on the game. Centre back pairings are best kept consistent but midfield can be changed more readily

Without question, is clearly absolute class and has the potential to be a full international.

That's not that high a bar. e.g Mitchell, Kelly

Well he has been with us couple of weeks now, wonder what he misses about Blackburn (the town, not so much the club)

Here we go again. A premier league footballer from Blackburn is as unlikely to live in the town itself as a Palace player would live in SE25

....but I assume that he worked in Blackburn unless he's a ringer.
