Conservatives are polling at about 15% for people under 50... I don't expect we will be seeing them back in power for a while longer than 4 years. The result from Kingswood has Tory Central Office crapping their pants. Yes, I have bored for England about my theory around the Tories wanting to lose the next election but the result from Kingswood, and what the Reform Party showing means, leaves then literally facing almost total wipe out.

I dont think you will see the tories back in four years. I believe that they will follow the path that Labour did after 1979 , when the right went off and formed the SDP . I think there will be a breakaway , especially if Reform poll well and it will take 10 plus years for the party to sort itself out and become electable again That’s a dot on the cards and good. At least after 4 years we will have a real Conservative Party back in. It’s complacency which is the reason.

Tbh it’s not Tory at any cost but I don’t think it will be the wipeout from voting numbers as nearer the time the reality of what could be coming should ease back the difference in MPs.

Is this the Kingswood result where the turnout was half as much as the GE and where the lab vote was 5300(33%) DOWN on the GE. Hardly a ringing endorsement!
