You understand a huge part of the electorate. No amount of rational discussion will ever make them change their political flag, I must have missed the rational discussion. The fact is that the electorate have shunned Labour for the majority of modern history. There is a reason for that, and it ain't the electoral system.

We could be living in a barren wasteland, mass homelessness and unemployment, the country starving on rations as the rule of law breaks down… and some boomer would still be sat there saying ‘can you imagine it was Labour!?’ As soon as someone uses that term, they have lost. I barely qualify, by the way.

So labour won’t be labour this time round and a change is as good as a rest. More nonsense - Starmer is about as left wing as David Cameron, never mind socialism light ffs. It’s got nothing to do with younger voters; the only age group where the Tories are polling ahead of Labour is 70+ - they are going to be absolute annihilated by the time they call a GE, as they deserve.

That’s a dot on the cards and good. At least after 4 years we will have a real Conservative Party back in. It’s complacency which is the reason.

Conservatives are polling at about 15% for people under 50... I don't expect we will be seeing them back in power for a while longer than 4 years. It's not surprising they are complacent when they get a guaranteed vote from a percentage of the electorate regardless of how bad they f*** things up. Edited by EverybodyDannsNow (16 Feb 2024 5.48pm)

The result from Kingswood has Tory Central Office crapping their pants. Yes, I have bored for England about my theory around the Tories wanting to lose the next election but the result from Kingswood, and what the Reform Party showing means, leaves then literally facing almost total wipe out.

I dont think you will see the tories back in four years. I believe that they will follow the path that Labour did after 1979 , when the right went off and formed the SDP . I think there will be a breakaway , especially if Reform poll well and it will take 10 plus years for the party to sort itself out and become electable again That’s a dot on the cards and good. At least after 4 years we will have a real Conservative Party back in. It’s complacency which is the reason.

Edited by EverybodyDannsNow (16 Feb 2024 5.48pm) Which answers for the complacency. Taking voters for granted has smacked them. Tbh it’s not Tory at any cost but I don’t think it will be the wipeout from voting numbers as nearer the time the reality of what could be coming should ease back the difference in MPs.

Is this the Kingswood result where the turnout was half as much as the GE and where the lab vote was 5300(33%) DOWN on the GE. Hardly a ringing endorsement!

Edited by EverybodyDannsNow (16 Feb 2024 5.48pm) Well, wait till they get a loada Labour....four years of that kneeling degenerate traitorous b0llocks will change a lot of minds. And of course they are going to see that the economic improvement that Labour gives the impression of is a similar load of old b0llocks. The Tories only have to start being a party with balls again.....If Farage leads it and Reform joins who knows. Edited by Stirlingsays (16 Feb 2024 7.09pm)
