Isn't it 12.00 midday the cut off time on the day?

I honestly don't know. I thought a player had to registered with the PL on the working day before the match. If that is the case then we would need to have registered him yesterday.

I suspect we'll save him for the Brighton game on Saturday so he can put it about a bit for his first yellow card (only the one hopefully - and no red).

You could well be right there DB, maybe that's where i got the 12 noon from. As long as its Dunk he gets his YELLOW for . . .

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

Scenario: Munoz's first training session. Receives the ball, sees the green field ahead of him, and takes off past the halfway line.

Roy: Hold it! Stop the game! Just hold up for a second! Thank you. Now you must be the new fellow, Daniel I think it is?
Munoz: Yes boss, Daniel Munoz, this is my first session with the boys.
Roy: You're new here Daniel, so I'll cut you a little slack. Tell me, what do you think you are doing charging past the halfway line? No full back in my team is allowed to do that!
Munoz: It is the way we South Americans play, we love to get forward and score goals!
Roy: Well not in my team Daniel, is that clear?
Munoz: Yes boss. It's just that when I met Mr Steve and Mr Dougie they said they were very happy to have me join and that they hadn't seen a defender run forward in an age. They said that if it's one thing I must do it is to play my natural South American game and get forward and score goals!
Roy: They did did they?
Munoz: Yes boss, just as I said!

Very funny! Except Roy's final reply should be that:

Roy: if I ever catch you crossing the half way line I'll get Ray to kick your backside all the way back to Colombia faster than they can produce my daily coffee.

Roy [turns to Ray]: Keep an eye on the new Olise wannabee, FFS I need to go and have a word with Parrish.'

Ray mumbles that Wharton is on his way for a medical...

Roy 'What the chuffin heck f*** do you mean they are signing a 19 year old? Jeez I've already got one young pretender on the sidelines. My god I ask them to approach Lampard to see if he's still fit enough and I get this....'

Followed by;

“Now take a few minutes and watch”
“Wardy on”
Wardy gets up grabs the Captains armband..
“Show the young whipper snapper how it’s done”
“Yes boss”
Wardy proceeds to get roasted by both Franca and Ebiowei…
“Stop, stop - I’ve told you two before none of that flash nonsense in my team - pass it back to Will (Hughes) he’s the playmaker..!!
“Sorry boss only trying to show you what we can do so we can get a chance to play”
“Well I’ve told you before that’s not the way - show me how you can cover Tyrick”
“Jordan (Ayew) on - show them how it’s done”
“Yes boss”
Game proceeds Ayew gets the ball, Ward goes for the challenge, Ayew falls to the ground in a heap looking for the foul - Ward picks up the ball goes for a pass back makes a hash of it - Ahamada nips in and puts it past a hapless Henderson..
“Stop, stop - Jordan, Wardy - well done..”
“Naouirou - what are you doing there - what are you thinking, what happens if they break at that point - that’s why you’re not starting work on it”
“Now look Guys I’ve been doing this for over 50 years - in that time my methods haven’t changed - so I know what I’m talking about - we’ve a got a big ame tonight and my neck is on the line and I don’t want to finish my career by being sacked by my home town club”
At this point Parish who has been watching walks over with Adam Wharton..
“Hi Roy all good for tonight”
“Yep Steve, Jordan, Jeff, Will, Joel and even Jario all look really sharp in training - just getting them to show some of the youngsters and the new kid how it’s done and what I want from them if they are to have any chance of getting into my first XI”
“Err OK Roy - this is Adam Wharton our new £22M central midfielder - he’s been ripping it up in the Championship and we have high hopes for him”
“Nice to meet you Adam - how old are you..??”
“Hi boss 19”
“OK the u23’s are training on the pitch over there”
Roy turns away whilst Parish speed dials Potter..!!
