Harris just spent about $7bn on the Washington Commanders. Who have just fired their head coach and have been cr@p for years. He's going to be far too busy/occupied with them to care about buying Palace. The stadium not being improved is not on Parish. He doesn't have the money himself and has been trying to get others to invest to do the works but clearly everyone involved has been hesitant. For a long time. Any mention of Jordan coming back is hilarious. Obviously people have short memories. Or are on a wind up and it's gone over my head.

But B&H - will not be putting any money in - Parish has none so - "nish" to spend in January..!! All that said there's got to be something wrong - we are in our 11th Premier League season, have a Grade A academy, biggest team in South London, huge catchment area, playing and holding our own in the best League in the World - yet we can't attract positive investment - why..?? My take is that it is Parish - he still wants overall control but does not have the financial resources for that position..!! So consequently wants to use the money of others whilst he insists on having control..!! In fairness to Textor if that's the scenario I understand the frustration..!! Bottom line is that until Parish relinquishes control this will continue - and runs the risk of all the good he has done - being undone and rather than being remembered as the one that saved us, but being the one that ruined us..!! Hope that's not the case - but I am getting concerned about direction at Board level..!! COYP I totally agree, good post

IF Harris decided to buy Textors shares than I think he would probably continue to leave the day-to-day running of the club to Steve Parish. As Harris has a current investment, increasing it shouldn't involve much more than going through the legalities, shouldn't be time consuming.

I'm a bit surprised that Textor wants to sell his shares in Palace given that he wants to float his football club business. Premier league presence makes that vehicle a more attractive proposition. Maybe he has his eye on another EPL investment. I don't think Textor is as wealthy as some might think. He has used other peoples money to make at least some of his investments. He may be relying on a float to raise much needed funds for his group. Perhaps he would prefer someone to put up cash for his Palace shares so he can use those funds to shore up his other investments. If he has fallen out with Parish because he doesn't like the fact that he can't outvote him then he made a foolish mistake with his original investment. He knew what the situation was. He has also had a much publicised falling out with a major investor on his deal buying Lyon. I don't blindly support Parish but I still think that of all our major shareholders he has the interests of the club at heart but ultimately its a business so he isn't just going to walk away.
Some people think football is a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that. |

The name will be changed to Sand Palace or Crystal Sands Palace Stadium . Your welcome . Have you started a bit early. my old Mucker , but i do think the major stumbling block is each co/owner having 25% voting rights, so basically 3 have to agree to move out of the status quo, why Textor would accept only 25% voting rights as majority shareholder is unbelievable, so the only outcome that will change anything is Blitzer or Harris buying Textors 45% and 25% voting rites, which would make them overall owner's of the club, or a partner of theirs would would side with H&B giving the three 75%, i think the one thing that is certain is Textor and H&B dont get on and Parish's days, rightly or wrongly are numbered

However, if Josh Harris buys Textor's shares then it's conceivable that Parish will remain in place to run the club. Should they disagree over anything how that would work in terms of voting rights I don't know.

Well i would think, not certain, but in most company's, its my way or the highway, to the CEOs or owners, Parish's, 10% Share and 25% voting will not allow him to make any decisions without getting the major shareholders permission, they might to replace him with somebody else, i wonder if H&B and Parish use their 75% against Textor?

At the end of the day , whichever way you look at it SP has done a good job at least administratively in protecting the club & the value of the Americans investment, with them being based in the States it makes a lot of sense for them to keep him in the chair (whether thats with or without him having voting rights) Originally posted by NEILLO

Out of all the owners... Let's face it, there is only 1 there with any link as a supporter who put his money on the line and he isn't American. The guy supports the club, gets the ethos and gets the bad times the clubs been through. The others really don't give two tits about the club and see it as another business to make money out of or a play thing of not massive significance. Anybody who would want Parish out over the others, baffles me. He may not always make the best decisions but I 100% believe he's trying to make the right decisions to benefit the club. It may not be decisions with immediate results but he has kept the club going on what can only be described as a shoe string of funds used. The sad news is we need Parish to have the same amount of money as Brightons owner and to magically move Selhurst.

Twould be a lot simpler if ther was one owner. instead of all the in house feuds ! and who is it that leaks these details of the disagreements to the press , Just a lot of my cock is bigger than yours if you ask me , and sabre rattling, and if i cant play then im taking my ball and going home . Sort it out and dont use it as an excuse to not do any business in the transfer window .
