Ok. I'm reasoning that the tv money etc is not included in the total, therefore the new main stand with 13 odd thousand capacity would need every seat to spend circa £500 on match day to reach £7m. This seems unlikely, and perhaps there has been a mix up with the figures. That's only a few plastic skiffs of warm piss (aka beer) isn't it?
Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes) |

However, £100 per seat seems very high, even assuming some are corporate seats, and of course outside the top 6 there is no guarantee all seats will be sold. I'll go for c£10m a year.

Must admit the prospect of, at some point, being able to play Franca, Eze and Olise together is mouthwatering. And after one goal in our last five games (including the League Cup) it really can't come soon enough.
We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold... |

I thought it was high, at least we will be going in the right direction with crowds of 34k plus. Would we fill the ground is another question, but I don’t see why not?

The only thing is, knowing uncle Roy like we do, I’m not sure they’ll all be on the pitch at the same time, unless of course we’re chasing a game late on

Would we fill the ground is another question, but I don’t see why not? £7m rev per game??? Even Man u with a 75k capacity don't make that. Palace would have to make over £200 a seat to get £7m a game. Currently Palace make c£700k a home game on 25k crowds, so c£30 per head. Arsenal make £3m per home game on 60k crowds, so £50 per head

Have we factored non match day revenues into the thinking too, i.e. corporate events etc..? I'm guessing it will be a smaller proportion of income but still useful to add to the equation. Originally posted by palace99

There was a Steve Parish interview recently. I’m not sure where I read it now? 30,000 seats x £30 = £900,000
Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course). |

Could Franca, Olise, Eze and Ayew play in a front 4 without a recognised single front man? In one of my favourite Palace teams we played with Townsend, Wilf and Loftus-Cheek as the attackers with Cabaye pushing forward too. That was under Roy. Could the same happen again?
I ain't got nuthin' funny to say. Sorry. |
