There must be something more to this than just adding another goalkeeper to the squad . Demands of being No1 wont sit well with the other keepers specially not Johnstone who if rumours are right will be off Which leaves us back with one senior keeper and the problem of signing another who likes to sit on the bench . All seems very strange to me

Slightly odd, but we do need a second keeper. I'm not against competition for the jersey, but I can't imagine Henderson has come to sit on the bench, and equally, if I were Sam Johnstone, I'd be pissed to be dropped to the bench after having played so well recently. Looks like a selection headache. Personally, I think it's Johnstone's shirt to lose at the moment. Henderson is gonna have to wait for his chance.

Henderson's the better keeper,he'll get shirt off Johnstone in the near future. I heard Johnstonee and Henderson are good mates.

Evening everyone, hope you’re doing well. Here’s a short video breaking down everything you need to know about Dean Henderson from someone who’s followed him from his academy days for those interested. I reckon he’s England’s most talented goalkeeper by a considerable distance, and I expect him to showcase that at Selhurst Park this season! PS: I made this video when he was headed to Forest but it remains just as relevant now that he's off to Crystal Palace.

He has passed medical and we agreed 20m Again showing the club has no clue United are signing his replacement for not even 5m. Positive hopefully this means before the window ends we will spend on so players we need right back is a massive issue so is creative player on the wing.

Given the blindingly obvious gaps elsewhere in the squad, which a lack of funds seems to have at least partly contributed to, this would be such a strange signing. Arguably only Arsenal and City could be said to have an obviously better number 2 than us, and yet we don't have a left winger to speak of.
