My missus has a good eye for the game. She looks at a player and says: that's a palace player. Brennan Johnson. Noni Madueke. And this guy.

I can only agree!

However, I would like him in the squad with Olise/Eze, not as a replacement, and he will never get the game time.

He's a good player, albeit not one that I can see troubling really good defences, especially any that choose to sit in.

You get them a fair bit where they need that extra yard or two of space in the Championship. Often it's because they're missing something physically which requires their technical ability to be top 6 to make up for it, and it isn't (Armstrong, Rhodes, Pukki, Vydra, Buendia, Sessegnon, Murphy, McCormack...).

For me, Summerville is a little lightweight and a few yards off being electrically quick. He will probably have a PL career but I don't expect it as a regular at a top 10 side.

The club have a good eye for talent so if they go for him, I expect it'll work out, but for me it's not where I'd be putting £20m+ of our cash.

He's a couple of months older than Olise and nowhere near as good.

all fair points, however, he has some prem experience in a poor Leeds side and during a season when he had a few injuries and did ok (think Eze's first season for Palace as a comparison).

He's still young so will get better.

I thought we should go for him last season as a Zaha replacement, this season it will cost us a lot more.
I think he'd cost a minimum of £30m IMHO.

Which we saw first hand in the Championship play-off defeat to Southampton. He has his moments but not enough of them for my liking. Like you, I'd want to spend my £20m+ elsewhere.

Let's face it , Wilf was a one off, a charismatic player who made an immense contribution to Palace for the best part of a decade. Those kinds of players don't come around very often. And I doubt whether Summerville is the answer

We will just have to wait a few years for Wilfs son to grow up and then we can go through it all again..

Indeed.

Leeds only paid Feyenoord £1.25 Mill for his services so he will be sold for a significant profit.

His trademark goal is cutting in from left on to his favoured right foot and firing into the far corner.

He was disappointing in the play-off final against Southampton and was substituted, Jaidon Anthony taking his place.

Indeed ,” who is”. Olise,s all round game is that good . The magic left foot , the stunning goals, are going to be a big miss , for me though it’s his link ups with Eze, and Mateta, that must be replaced, if we can do that, OG,s tactics should do the rest.
