Guilty of seven murders. There's plenty of mileage left to run in this case.
I disengage, I turn the page. |

She will get a whole life sentence and probably spend it in isolation. Happily she will die in gaol.

Found guilty. Yes, unsurprisingly. How anyone can think for one minute that she wasn’t responsible is beyond me and some of the earlier comments on this thread are just are quite frankly incredible and of huge concern. I was very mindful of my remarks whilst the jury were still deliberating, posting only that accepting a Majority verdict should see this over the line. Indeed today we have seen this to be the case and she has been found Guilty of all seven murders and seven attempted murders. I only hope that as the reporting restrictions are lifted and the details become known it becomes clear just how evil this person is and that on Monday this continues when she is sentenced and given a whole life order.

Jolie Comer to be cast in the inevitable docudrama. Nobody will touch this and quite rightly so. A person beyond evil, responsible for the most despicable crimes. The compassion, sympathy and support for the parents and loved ones of all of the victims is what is important for the future, as well as the inevitable enquiry and learnings from the failings that undoubtedly happened. Out of respect for the families this should be everyone’s focus and nothing else. Edited by Phil’s Barber (18 Aug 2023 2.59pm)

Absolutely tragic but yet again the NHS has failed this country. Concerns were raised by medical professionals back in 2015 and yet the NHS seems more concerned in covering up then investigating. How many more scandals are there going to be until the government decides enough is enough. There is a culture of covering up and ignoring whistleblowers we have seen this over decades. Perhaps the only way these managers are going to learn is to make them criminally responsible and send them to gaol. It's not just the big cases, on a regular basic you read about a wrongful death and how the family have fought for years to get to the truth and been blocked all the way. Sick of this cover up culture we pay there salaries time they are held accountable. Edited by Badger11 (18 Aug 2023 3.10pm)

This is the biggest reason experienced doctors leave the NHS. Did you do the sensible thing and look at comparable countries before posting? Here is a starter Edited by Mapletree (18 Aug 2023 3.47pm)

The compensation that will be paid out by the NHS Trust in this case will be £Millions & £Millions. So many families affected and I’m sure the enquiry will be damming and highlight a number of failings. So so tragic and no amount of money will ever make up for the loss of a child or the other traumas experienced by people in this case but there will be a legal claim (or a number of legal claims) pursued, of that we can be sure.

A despicable, vile series of crimes perpetrated by a despicable, vile individual. I can't begin to imagine how the poor parents of those innocent little babies have coped with their deaths and then the awful truth that has emerged in a very public way. Truly shocking and I hope she has an extremely agonising rest of her life.
Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |

Surprised at the conviction, but then I didn't hear the evidence at the trial. What was reported in the media seemed highly circumstantial.

whoever failed to do background-checks on this nutter also deserves to suffer. Nutters exist everywhere. Its the job of the good people to protect us. Lucy Letby is also another piece of evidence : supporting my theory that the most violent scary feckers are the ones crying and moping around the place feeling sorry for themselves. A cry baby is more scary than Begbie. And very often these monsters are also cowards & deeply disliked. Except for Harold Shipman whose cohort of patients all loved him. I hope Lucy Letby lives to age 85 and is hated & bullied in jail for all that time. Follow the link below and agree with me that those who fail to learn the lessons of History are condemned to repeat its mistakes..... Edited by PalazioVecchio (18 Aug 2023 4.57pm)
