Serious question. So if you are an MP you are not supposed to front a TV New Show however they do it all the time on the radio with MPs from all parties so why is the radio different?

Many people don't want the Leftist crap served up by SKY, BBC and ITN. That is why GB News is so successful and why the lefties are so desperate to attack it.

It's not as though they don't get enough lefty or socially liberal media is it. The one comment I'll concede for the real lefties or socialists is that they are partly excluded as while all the neo liberal stuff agrees with them on most social issues it doesn't on the financial. However, that's the same situation for most social conservatives as GB News, is itself is very milk toast small 'c' conservativism. It was forced to get rid of the proper conservatives like Mark Steyn after establishment 'progressive' toady Ofcom went after him about his covid coverage.....considering how the messaging is changing over covid they could end up paying a considerable price for that in the future. People can watch right wing trash as much as they like, but kindly be honest and admit what it is.

I'm interested, not to have a go at you but to know what's out there that you can genuinely stomach as a non neo liberal lefty?

Well just the normal channels BBC, Sky News, Channel 4 evening slot. Really we ought to have a LeftyTV for balance. But we would't be able to have Labour MPs presenting as they are too right wing. In fact I am surprised they are not presenters on GBNews themselves.

In a way I don't think we have a left and right in politics of much note or difference. Both the major parties agree on most things that will hurt us the most. GB news may be considered right wing. In today's climate that might be fair enough. But what has really happened is due to the world now going even more clinically insane. Any push back is constantly called right wing and reactive. Well there is a lot to react to. Many on the left have come to the same conclusion. The real left in politics has been taken over by interest groups supported by very powerful people. It's a great shame what has happened because we no longer have any balance. Agree with him or not - but at least Jeremy Corbyn was able to give some balance.

I think David Lammy does a phone in on LBC, for example. Starmer often does a monthly guest phone in on LBC and even Sunak did a one off 30 minute equivalent last week. So this format is quite normal and has been the case for a number of years.

One thing will never change, the old saying that the left or socialists are great until they run out of other peoples money, another true saying is the young if they have a heart are left leaning, but as the brain develops they lean to the right, politically speaking, never a truer word

Whether you like him or not Starmer represents a more moderate approach to govt, and he quickly realised that to get into power he needs the support of the centre thinking/soft right voters. If you look at the voting over the last 40 plus years of general elections only a move to the right from Blair got Labour into power. I'm not a massive fan of Starmer but i understand his strategy. The Green party has had decent support over the last 30 odd years but only has 1 MP and this won't improve any time soon. It appears when a general election comes around the majority of the country vote right of centre.
