If Boey can happen that will be one of the best signings Palace can make. Arsenal apparently want Cancelo hopefully that is true he can play LB and RB. That means if they get him unlikely they will also get Boey as they want to buy players like Rice as well. Boey at RB would be a huge upgrade probably need to tempt him with very good wages. Reportedly earns £11k probably need to offer him at least £60k/week for him to join Palace.

The narrative is about Ward signing a new contract with Clyne acting as backup, accordingly on this basis it would appear there will not be any monies spent on the right-back position.

The £5 Mill 'Transfer Pot' will be spent on a striker.

If I was Ferguson, I would snap Palace hands with any sort of contract offer. I just can't see him ever maintaining sustained fitness.

Considering we have retained both Ward and Clyne plus offered Ferguson a contract, then I can't see us going for RB in the summer.

I would have though we would keep either Ward or Clyne plus buy a new RB. Finances can't be great still.

Ultimately it's a question of:
1. Finances and
2. Priorities
in that order.

Having spent more than £120m since Hodgson's first departure, the coffers may not be looking that promising.

Re the RB position it may simply be that we would rather spend any money we have elsewhere (presumably up top or possibly LB).

Our 'Net Spend' over the last 5 seasons has been approx £70 Mill.
