I'm sure there are loads of others in the 'entertainment' industry and wider afield, but it's the shear upfrontery that is shocking. My cousin was an extra in showbiz told me Saville was a wrong un back in the seventies. He worked with Charlie Drake probably in the sixties or seventies Drake would pick a showgirl and inform her she was his girlfriend for the duration whether she wanted it or not. The casting couch wasn't just for women, many Hollywood hunks had to drop tro to get on as well. It's why after #Metoo I'm amazed that Phil thought he could get away with it.

I think that the number of Schofield memes that I've had on WhatsApp are more than on any other subject or person barring Boris of course

Also the hypocrisy of disowning his brother (Timothy Schofield was found guilty in April of 11 sexual offences involving a child between 2016 and 2019. Following the verdict, the 54-year-old was sacked from his job as a civilian worker for Avon and Somerset Police.19 May 2023) Abuse of power and authority runs in the genes.

Watched a clip and read a bit of Schofield's interview. If what he's saying is true, then perhaps the reaction is a little OTT. He comes across as slimy and smug on screen but that's been the case since the nineties. Obviously the truth of the matter is what's important.....and what's unfortunate for both Schofield and this guy is that they have already lied about their affair. Schofield seems to have a lot of enemies of people who have actually spent time with him.

it's no surprise - they're all completely full of sh*t. I think Holly Willoughby should be crowned Queen of England, she represents every bottle blond bullsh*t artist who rips you off while sweet talking you - the new ruling class of late 20s vicious tarts who work in sales, recruitment and HR have her as their pin up.

I think professionally he isn't the guy he projects but then again that's a second hand view from me. In his defence despite everything he does have the support of his family....some might be cynical and refer to his wealth and how much easier that makes it....but nevertheless he does. For me, if he started banging this guy when it was legal then....while the lying deserves criticism I view it as business between him and his then wife. While I recognise that power dynamic argument it's also a very tricky area. Don't get me wrong, I think in the vast majority of cases it's a valid call because people in positions of power do exploit those without it. However it's also essentially saying that the cleaner never gets to marry the CEO....which is a significant level of intrusion into people's personal choices. It's one of those situations which probably should be looked at on a case by case basis. However, if this is grooming and as he met him at 15 it deserves looking at then he pretty much deserves the ridicule and criticism. We live in a heightened celebrity culture where fame puts people high into the spotlight....which means the rewards are great for them but the pressure and negatives can be destructive. I think it's fair to remember that Schofield hasn't killed anybody or stolen anything. Unless it turns out that he's some Savile type figure than he does deserve some level of care because he's certainly getting it in the neck right now....which isn't the place he usually expects it. But to be serious, he does deserve the benefit of the doubt (which I didn't give him...not that he'd read Hol) and he does deserve the care from the buffering winds he's getting right now.....I'm not someone who thinks that people should be denied their say or opinions but the point about Caroline Fleck is fair enough.....it's a pressure cooker and his world has been turned upside down....same as for this lad.

The fairly recent Alan Partridge programme. whereby he presents the programme in a studio with a weapon of a female colleague. She is photogenic and smiles the second the cameras are on. How prophetic. --------------------------------------- on a separate note, i do recall a live tv event with Phillip Schofield and he bullied the shyte out of an audience member who had pushed the wrong button on a voting device. it was some stupid question like : where do you live.... and the audience-tw@t had pushed option C. Schofield humiliated the bloke and i always thought Schofield a bully from then.
