200k a week on a 4 year deal offered. A replacement will be 30-40 million on 120k plus a week. I think it's a good deal for all parties.

That's a recipe for disaster as he would never pass the ball to a team mate and risk losing £100,000 and he would prefer to try for goal himself even if someone else is better placed. Anyway why would he accept such a package when other teams are likely to offer more with the prospect of European football thrown in No big change there so Mids

Zaha's English options don't look great at the moment. On the fact that he plays left of a front 3. All the top teams have really strong depth, I havent looked at it this closely before but that position seams seriously sacked. City Arsenal Man U Liverpool Spurs They aint offering 100+ for a 3rd choice. So IMO his only real options are the top of the midfield (traditionally speaking). Brighton, but is he better than Mitoma. Newcastle, but have ASM, and spent big on Gordon. Villa, Brentford, Fulham.....

I think he's better than Sessegnon and Perisic, although a different kind of player than either of them, so Spurs a possibility. Chelsea like to have a lot of different options but are unlikely to be able to offer European football next season. Although it's hard to envisage Wilf moving North, Newcastle can afford his wages, offer European football and I think they are likely to sell ASM... As for suggesting Brighton....

Good discussion on Talksport today with Simon Jordan. £200k on a 5 year contract would cost around £18m extra over 5 years from his current salary. It is hard to find a good winger for under £20m now. Plus you got a new player's wages as well. Zaha knows the EPL. If Palace keep Zaha and improve their squad (e.g. new RB, another midfielder and striker) they could easily come top 10 next year. Edited by Zaha127 (17 May 2023 1.55pm)

Edited by Zaha127 (17 May 2023 1.55pm) I wouldn't be hopeful of getting 5 years worth of good play from someone who is already suffering increasingly frequent non-contact injuries at 30 years of age.
