I've always thought he'd go to but when I consider it now, if we keep winning and his options are West Ham, Villa and Everton plus some Saudi or Chinese clubs, he may as well stay with us. The problem with him staying would be the length of contract and wages, two year and 65k, yes. Three year and 100k+, no.

Unbelievable really how fans just turn on Zaha for no reason at all. Just remember that it is impossible for us to replace him with a like for like player of his quality because we can’t afford to pay the money. Makes perfect sense to give him a new deal.

I don’t believe the fans are turning on Wilf, I think Wilf has only stayed at Palace because of the love for the fans! His frustrations shows every week when he plays with his constant moaning at his team mates. Unfortunately for our club we can only offer a platform in the PL, and unless we have a shift in mentality from the board and start spending money on star players and competing to win things this will always be the case and we will fall short every time as our squad “IMO” is inexperienced in having a winning mentality for trophies like so many other teams and unless your a top 8 club or you have some luck alone the way. And this is why Wilf wants to leave. I wish him the best

Who is turning? He wasn't replaceable 2/3 years ago, now he most certainly is, its not Zaha FC, he has been great, and highly paid, but you cant justify 7m+ for a player so out of line with the current wage structure.

4 year deal now widely reported. If at £200k a week it's financial madness. I like Wilf and would like him to stay. I would give him more than a one year deal but 4 years at £200k at age 30.- that's insane for a club of our stature and size.

It works out at £40m over 4 years a period during which he is likely to spend increasing amounts of time on the treatment table. I question whether he is self-controlled enough to manage the growing limitations of his body. The only possible upside is that we wouldn't need to buy a replacement who would likely cost us £40m plus wages etc.

He was offered this contract about 6 months ago according to click bait back then. I then the story re-appearing now is so that Parish can tell fans he did his best to keep him and in fairness I think that is true. This is just PR from the club before he inevitably leaves.

I hope so, utter madness from the club, if true.
