Most importantly, here at Palace, do nothing now. We have made our decision to bring Roy back in. He got off to a really good start. Ride the season out, hopefully as successfully as Saturday and then consider our options. Having been at Selhurst on Saturday, I am kind of wishing Roy was 20 years younger.

Potter and Chelsea was never going to be a match made in heaven. I don't see the benefit of sacking Potter now and then leaving Bruno (!) in charge even on an interim basis. Chelsea will find it difficult to attract an elite name if they can't offer CL football next season. I think Potter will take a break now and not rush into another job. If the Leicester job is there in the summer and they stay up, he could be the man for them. Moyes will leave West Ham at the end of the season, another potential Leicester candidate. I can see Carrick being offered the West Ham job. As for Rogers, he's a decent enough manager but not a top six club contender. If Leeds stay up, he could wind up there if they don't offer Garcia a deal. They were bonkers to hire him in the first place . Only a Yank without a scoobie about football would sack an elite manager in Tuchel and appoint a manager from the other end of the Premier League who had never won anything , anywhere that means anything Chelsea scored a massive own goal and as you say wont be able to attract an elite manager without Champions league football , without any European football at all they will be struggling to get anyone with any rep to sign up without throwing a massive contract at them . Potter is like Vieria , fixated on keeping possesion without a clue how to transition through the lines .It all becomes a pointless keep the ball excercise that ends with the players losing interest . Potter has managed to do that with some of the best players money can buy . I dont want to go back to pointless possesion football that stiffles the life out of any immigination or any point in having skillful players . Because that is what he did at Chelsea , he turned them into the mid /bottom half of the Table Brighton of last season .

Chelsea need to bring in a name, a Conte, Mourinho etc. Who has the clout to stand up to the players and the board. And yeah I don't think any of these guys are going to rush into a new job now. I suspect there will be a few caretaker managers, and they will see what jobs are open in the summer
