There is a point here. CPFC is the 26th largest football club (by revenue) on the planet. We have been in the Premier League for ten years. We have spent, comparatively, little on players in that time. Yet there is no new stadium. The only notable investment during that decade has been the academy, and at £20M to build, that's hardly been an overwhelming cost. The directors have indeed been lining their own pockets, lead by Parish and his £2.6M a year salary, third highest in the league. Parish has been dining out on CPFC2010, using what happened back then to pull the wool over our eyes with regard to what he's been doing since. In what other industry does a CEO whose company consistently ranks 14th/20 in terms of performance earn one of the top three salaries in the industry?

Syd I totally agree, it's so sad, people need to wake up Parish wants his salary every year

Parish is little more than a Croydon wide-boy who's made a bit of money in business and then landed on easy street at the club's expense. You only need to look at his social media persona to realise that. Sure, I don't like him but the facts speak for themselves. With that said, you will never ever convince those who want to believe that "he's one of our own" to accept that they're being conned. People don't want to admit that at the best of times, which is why conmen tend to get away with their actions for far longer than they should.

We can change managers and change players as often as makes everyone happy. Until Parish is out of the club, we will not progress (and will probably fall backwards, as we are doing now). After ten years of, mainly, little more than survival that should be obvious. With the foundation of a decade of PL revenues to build on, the club is essentially what it always was, playing in exactly the same dilapidated stadium in which it's always played. Though Parish has personally trousered a small fortune in that time.

I would think you were pulling my leg. I would suggest Roy will be getting at least double that with a very healthy incentive to boot.
What is the cost of relegation to shareholders? At least £100m.
So a couple of mill to save the day is peanuts. Especially coming out of operating revenue.

Roy's doing it for free out of the goodness of his own heart. And he cancelled a paid up 3 month luxury cruise just so he could be in the dugout. There's no keeping Croydon Roy away from Selhurst.

Roy is better because he exorcises the gypsy curse, with long forgotten herbs and secret rites. The only other one who could counter the curse was Wickham, but he had to use his own body parts to appease the demon.

Can't believe what I am reading on some of the posts regarding parish!

Our most successful chairman! Well in my lifetime that is. Saved the club, got us promoted and we are 10 years hopefully 11 years in the premier league. What an unbelievable achievement for a small club like us. And we are a small club!

Some fans need to get real! Honestly! We are having one bad season and haven't been in a proper relegation scrap in a long long time! And this new breed of palace fans are throwing their toys out of their pram!

We have tried expansive football a number of times...Burley, Holloway, de Boer, pardew and viera. Didint work out we tried and have always had to revert back! Not for lack of trying.

As for the new stand etc...Parish has tried his best I truly believe that.

Recruitment....I admit it leaves alot to be desired however we have gone down the 32 million players in the sahkos and bentekes and how this did that work out? Gallagher was never going to come back to us.....

West ham spent millions on new players and fully backed Moyes...they are having a tough eld season not unlike ours.

The lack of backing the last two transfer windows was maybe due to viera not being fully committed? I don't know I hearing a few bits on that....

Anyways give your heads a wobble and support the club...I don't want to see any silly protests or stupid HF banners aimed at the board or hodgson while we are fighting to stay alive in the next 10 games!

Just look at some of the teams below us who have been in the premier league for years and even before us...it's not easy! Southampton are a few years ahead of us and look at them now.

Can someone please explain to me why we are a small club when, in fact, by revenues we are the 26th largest club IN THE WORLD. Yep, that includes all the teams in the PL, the Bundesliga, Serie A, La Liga, Ligue 1...the lot.

You are right. Some fans do need to get real. They need to grasp that instead of looking down on the team they support and passing it off as a poor relation, it's about time we punched our weight. I'm sick of hearing about the potential in South London; the large catchment area, and so on.

We might not be Liverpool, Man. City, Man Utd, etc. but WE ARE NOT A SMALL CLUB. Our turnover runs to millions of pounds and properly run, we should be a comfortably mid-table PL club with the odd cup win, and on the fringes of the Europa League to look forward.

Come on HF show us all you have the balls to organise a protest against Parrish and the board. Or do you all boot lick him because you want a ride in his vintage ferrari.

I bet they aint got the balls as they are scared Parrish will take away their drum and not let them behind the goal.

I assume that the 26th biggest turnover is linked to this?https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deloitte_Football_Money_League
It is interesting to me how many of the teams below us at the moment in the league are above us, and have been consistently for some time.
Maybe running a football club is quite tricky.

I agree with the general thrust of these comments.

From the club almost going out of existence, to promotion to the PL, an FA Cup Final appearance and 10 seasons in the PL.
