I predict that after last night's mauling, Istanbul will be breathing a sigh of relief.

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

Incredible insight into my Palace related thinking last night:

15" - Here we go, the Liverpool resurgence, they'll now thrash us in the moment seen as the great awakening for their season.

70" - Oh dear, an absolute humiliation from Real, we'll receive the backlash for this Saturday evening.

I should put that in the box below my comments for context whenever predicting results or musing over our prospects!

PPP - Perpetual Palace Panic

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

There has never been a better time to attack the bin dippers. The impenetrable back 4 of the 2019/20 title winners seems light years ago. I’m not worried about losing to them but I’ll be pretty hacked off if we don’t take it to them.

Trying to defend for a tight draw will probably get us nothing. No predictions from me, I just hope we give it a go.

Totally agree. Perhaps we should remind them that trying to do so at walking pace possibly won't work. 😉

Their defence seems really panic stricken...I do hope Zaha is fit enough to give it a go in the last half hour...and Ahamada who is an attacking midfielder can give them something to worry about. Liverpool will obviously come out fighting but will leave gaps behind to exploit

So it's 11 men behind the ball then with no striker.

I wouldn't draw to many conclusions from last night.
Mateta is no Benzema, Ayew is no Vinicius and Schlupp is no Modric.
Real Madrid have world class players who have performed at the highest levels over a number of years.

In reality I doubt one of our players would get in Liverpool's team.
That's not to say we can't beat them as we have done just that since being back in the Premier League.
However, I wouldn't want to place a bet on it.

God knows what effect last night will have on Liverpool this Saturday. I'm not sure it will change our approach much - I'm pretty sure we're not as good as Real Madrid.

After their tragic defeat at the hands (and feet) of Real Madrid, my heart bled for those sad, entitled supporters who went home in tears. 😂😂😂

Don't be too hard on them on Saturday boys. 4-0 will suffice.

At least when we're two down, we can be confident of scoring three or four.

if we back off like Everton did, we make it easy for them, if we do what Brighton, Wolves and Brentford have done and get right on top of them, it's all to play for. They are fragile.

Well we've done it before from 3 down.
