ASCPFC Pro-Cathedral/caravan park 13 Dec 22 3.22pm | |

I worked for the NHS in the early 90s. There were more bosses than staff in my section. My office had three staff - there were five managers. One that sticks in my mind was The Site Services Manager. Sounds fine, yet, he was in charge of the car park. It was only a small hospital, there can't be 100 spaces.

Sad times.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

That's great, but it's still a net outcome of - many tens of thousands versus Willo's contribution re new nurses and doctors. 57% of those planning to leave the profession cited 'pay and benefits' as the reason according to YouGov. I don't think it's that complicated. Pay being lower than private and benefits being higher than private. How many private jobs give 3 months full sick pay per annum minimum, a gold plated pension and the ability to get signed off sick cos someone said a hurty word.

It’s hard to know where to start with such lazy s***e but if you think what you earned as an apprentice presumably many decades ago is relevant, I don’t know what to tell you. You also didn’t do 5 years training to get into the role and I’ll take a guess that you weren’t saving lives either. Quite simply, if it was such a decent gig with so many amazing perks there wouldn’t be people leaving in droves and they wouldn’t be struggling to recruit new staff

It really isn’t hard to get real facts. I may have mentioned Google to you before Agenda For Change is the document you want: during the first year of service – one month’s full pay and two months’ half pay Do you think nurses don’t have to study? Your apprenticeship is as nothing to the work and cost involved in a nursing degree. Suck it up is what you will be doing sometime soon. If you are lucky someone will hold your straw.

Why not, as long as they're the only ones paying for it.

and then the stupidity starts in what was a reasonable discussion, well done Steeleye
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

'You can't trust the tories on the NHS'. And of course it is the reality., 7 million people waiting. I've not heard the mantra from Starmer, a rather confused person. You can't win the World Cup under a tory government either, but I don't want to rub it in.

This is true. Must be the reason East Germany was so much more successful than West.
