Well, I do live in Wisbech, so I can't deny the possibility of parallel realities. Then again, you live in Cornwell for feck's sake. That's so removed from the real world that you might as well live in a Tardis. Anymore 'out to lunch' you'd be put on the missing person's list. Edited by Stirlingsays (17 Nov 2022 2.01pm)

Could be an age thing like Biden not knowing the day of the week let alone if he’s got a clean nappy on!

Edited by Stirlingsays (17 Nov 2022 2.01pm) Having also lived in Wisbech for 12 years (the clue’s in the name) I am well able to offer an informed opinion on the comparative sense of reality between the two. Wisbech is seriously wierd, with some very odd people who definitely do not possess the same outlook on life as most other places. Cornwall has a rich local culture which is appealing and charming, but it’s people are realistic, and very much part of the modern world. The internet has reached us. In Cambridgeshire it seems to have got as far as March and given up hope.

Is Cornwall as it was centuries ago ?
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

No need to travel in time. Since Caxton invented the printing press we can all read history. Even allowing for the fact that this can be distorted to suit agendas, there is enough to reach a general conclusion about how things have seen by most. If you can read history then you would know Caxton did not invent the printing press, but I guess as you say he did then he did. Your wandering gibberish continues to amuse, don't stop posting please. Your post above is classic containing both factual inaccuracy and gibberish

The latter would suggest the actions were expensive political stunts by Trump which got their just deserts. The former and this comes under the category of "technicality" which just adds fuel to the conspiracy theory. It's a while back but from memory I think a number of Judges did review what was presented and all determined it was without any merit so would not allow a case to proceed that was bound to fail. So not just a technical failure. If that had happened in the first attempt the lawyers would have overcome it in the subsequent ones.

Posts have disappeared. You answered my mistaken claim about Caxton with different remarks which included the suggestion I wouldn't be able to admit it unless I did so through gritted teeth. I did correct it, and said my memory ought not have slipped as I had spent time in Heidelberg, where Gutenberg developed the modern mechanical press, which was improved by Caxton, but that the idea had originated in China. You were then gracious enough to say well done. There was another reply from someone who had spent time in Heidelberg. All those posts have gone, to be replaced by the one above. Does anyone have any idea what is happening, and why?

The thread is supposed to be about Trump, but I guess it's rather pointless talking about him since we all know that the US electoral system is now rigged and that millions of Mexicans will now have a big impact in those previously Republican states. I wonder how that happened. Edited by Hrolf The Ganger (19 Nov 2022 12.01pm)

If you truly want to read claptrap just read your own remarks about the US election system being rigged. The conspiracy theories that are swallowed whole on here never ceases to amaze me. We Brits are better than that! I was wondering why no-one had mentioned the appointment of a special prosecutor to handle the investigations into Trump and anticipated someone here would see a political motive behind it. I think it's why he has run as that if he had not the D o J probably now has sufficient evidence to indict him and he thinks having a special prosecutor will delay things and then even more if he gets the nomination. It wouldn't be his idea, but that of the lawyers. It's a regular tactic they emply, kicking things into the long grass.
