I am interested to see Malcolm whatshisname but perhaps not Luka labouring around the pitch.
Personally, thought the whole thing was stupid in the first place. However, I feel for our Antipodean and travelling fans. You would at least expect Zaha.

Perhaps his road is leading to Roma?

I am not and was not ever going to go see any of these tour games. However, I feel deeply for those of you who are going. It really stinks in the highest regard and I am shocked at how a club, who have always tried to treat fans with respect have let them down.

It holds fans in contempt and it makes very little or no `footballing sense` to send such a micky mouse `one toe in one toe out` squad.

It reeks of a financial decision at the cost of anything else.

Mr Parrish, for the first time I can ever think I have said this....you and the club should be ashamed of yourselves.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

Obviously we don't know the whole story but if Zaha, Eze, Guehi, etc. are missing due to not being vaccinated why did the club agree to this tour in the first place? It doesn't take a genius to know there might be restrictions on entering these countries. From a selfish perspective I'm more concerned about this will affect our preseason preparations; I can't imagine Vieira is happy.

Hopefully the club come out and publicly explain the situation and if appropriate at least apologise and perhaps even offer a gesture to the fans who booked tickets expecting to see our star players.

I'm not even sure I can bare watching the Liverpool game on Palace TV.

Ive just watched the latest Viera interview on Palace TV and he seems more than happy with the situation. Never mentioned vaccine but more fitness related. By having one team here and one there then both teams get a good run out instead of a lot of players not seeing much action by all being over there. Not sure why he didnt leave all the kids here and the proper squad over there then but hey ho. It sounded like it was down to him and his coaching staff.
The whole thing seems a bit amateur to me though.

He can't throw his employers under the bus.

We all know it doesn't make footballing sense.

If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck it's most probably a duck.

But what would his employers gain by having a mickey mouse squad out there? they'd gain much more from having all their star players there, whereas Viera would gain more fitness wise by having 1 squad there and 1 squad here. If it works out being best for the start of the season then fair play, whoever's idea it is.
Frustrating for the fans over there though and also for the fans here if we get smashed every game and look like a joke.

He doesn't say the word 'vaccine' but he does say 'of course some of them don't have the requirement to enter Singapore or Australia'

it's at 3.55 of the 5.06 video

The other reasons given are for players to work on their fitness and to get more games

We will have been paid handsomely for taking part in the tour

Yeah I know that but they'd gain much more from having their stars there and putting on a show than a load of kids getting hammered, if they do.

I really don’t get it. If Zaha Guehi and the others aren’t going because of Covid restrictions - the club must have known the risks before they confirmed the tour (March) (Djokovic, January). If the point of the tour is to promote Palace - well it’s the best players people want to see. I can’t see any positive from this.

Cancelled my travel plans, have reluctantly written off the cost of the tickets. If anyone in Australia wants an adult ticket and two kids tickets as close to the "active away end" please send me a message. What a load of s***.

I'll take them off you mate. I'm in Adelaide as well. Send me a PM on here.

I would love to donate them to some Ukrainian families I've been helping.
