We will not win both games - come back to me if i'm wrong.

its not rocket science, and my life is quite good actually

Mathematically, we can finish anywhere from 8th to 14th depending on results. A win tomorrow doesn't change that unless Villa lose to Burnley.

8th is a tidy finish on paper... monumental when you think it's us, with a new young, manager...

Although I feel 8th might alert other clubs of our talents... it's actually among what one win can do..

Could be 14th now but hey it's been a great season IMO. A cup semi, some superb football at times, some very talented players,a top manager, a great academy with some names to look out for,a brilliant board, and the best supporters in the country. Just need to sort the kasis out in the Arfur for next season, beat the Mancs on Sunday, go above the weed and the only way is up. COYP!

If I agreed with you we'd both be wrong

I fear they have some sort of protected heritage status now such has been their state for a while.

We could still get 10th, beat scumbags, Brighton lose to West ham, Brentford don't beat Leeds and Newcastle don't win at Burnley, do you think the phrase clutching at straws spring to mind

Id be happy with 14th in a twisted kind of way. It'd stop us getting carried away and remind everyone that there is still work to do!

The truth is if we hadn't squandered a good handful of winning positions we would be higher than Wolves. This means the basis for a good league position is there, we just need to sharpen our game management and ability to punish teams who we are dominating.

It is a twisted kind of way but I am inclined to support that thinking:

Finishing lower does not put a misleading gloss on what still needs to be done.

Perhaps more investment knowing we need improvement?

Less attention from afar on our star players/manager?

Less complacency or sense of achievement from players/managerial team.

Desire to kick on and improve?

A reminder, as if we should need it, that things can go very wrong pretty fast.

just shows high tight it is and fine margins between 9th and 14th... this is why a cup run is so important.... it adds extra entertainment value to the season.....

or.... a distraction.... one more win in the league gets you 10th rather than 14th....

looking at the league table, I'm kinda miffed that Branford and Brighton are above us.. apart from that, I'm happy... would I have swapped the cup run for 3 extra points??? nah...
