Its a no brainer, of all of the players out of contract he is the most important to keep, his screening in front of the CBs is superb, and his versatility. Agreed

Worked well as a centre back never rated him in midfield.

It'll be a shame to see him leave. Very valuable to us for his versatility and a reliable performer. Other players often mentioned he was a positive presence in the dressing room as well. Wish him well on his next adventure. We need to be smart in our recruitment/ development to make sure we're covered in the two areas that he was mainly deployed.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

It is no ow pretty clear we have a policy of a one year at a time for me players over 30 (and offering let Ng contracts to those in the early years at the top level.) I get that and broadly agree but older players usually on bigger money will always seek the security of a longer deal. If this means we don't see older players being paid a huge wedge to not play so be it zaha is 30 this year i think? wonder if we will bend the policy?

100% agree!!! AFCON winner as well. He should have been tied up ages ago. Only thing i can think of is the player himself doesnt want to stay.
