On the radio an Everton fan brushed off last nights humiliation with typical Scouse optimism. "We wont go down, games in hand, good home record, Frank knows what he's doing, just a blip, blah blah." Well I hope the rest of the fan base and the players feel the same. It is clubs that take that attitude that they are too good to go down that have a rude shock. Most of the other teams down there know they are in a scrap, as for games in hand at this time of the season I would rather have points on the board. I think Frank has been lucky in his managerial career so far, he has done okay nothing more and yet he's managed Chelsea and Everton while better managers may never get that chance. We will now see what he's made of.

Lampard has settled the old argument of who's better - Stevie G or Fat Frank?

No interest in Everton’s fate in the league. But they’ll be forced to prioritise league over cup and with them playing Thursday evening it doesn’t give them much of a rest before our Quarter Final.

Your right and he did a few weeks at Derby, which he thought would be enough of an apprenticeship before taking on the Chelsea job. Came up short and the rest is history as they say. Would be nice to see Everton in the Championship to see what their fans are really made of. He was at Derby for a full season and took them to the play-off final. At Chelsea he took them to the FA Cup final.

I think Lampard was used by Chelsea at a time when they had a transfer embargo. He did ok in reality, but it appeared that as soon as a big name manager became available, he was history. The Everton job however is fraught with problems. If he keeps them up this season it will be an achievement. Then it's a major rebuild required and I don't think the money will be there that his predecessors had ( and largely wasted ). In his post match interviews last night I thought he looked a little shell shocked....only now is he realising the size of the job he has.

Mwah. In the summer when we were managerless there were plenty of (clickbait) links to Lampard as a prospective Palace manager. And as he was available it seemed reasonable Parish would have talked to him. But when asked as a pundit if he had had any offers he said 'No good ones'. More than likely a throwaway comment but I have translated this as he rejected us and we must now knock his new team out of the cup and then relegate them a few weeks later!

I wouldn't fancy their chances if it was just Burnley to worry about but they're fortunate that Leeds are terrible, I dont see them stating up with the amount of goals they concede, Watford and Norwich are already gone

I'm sure I read that he didn't want to join us as he didn't want to be involved in a relegation dogfight. Mwah. Same reason he didn’t want to go Newcastle either.
