Apparently, the problem is down to the new fraud prevention system that ALL of the banks are introducing on 14th March. There is a secondary check that has to be carried out i.e., a code sent to your mobile for example but it doesn't happen if you purchase online. Some of the banks have introduced it already and this is why so many of us have had problems. It is going to be an absolute nightmare come the 14th unless something is sorted out. I eventually used an old card of my wife's on a Co op a/c and it went though straight away. I can only suggest going to the box office and paying there when you should get the code sent to your phone as you pay. Good luck!

So what happens if you ring up for tickets and want to use your bank card? I purchase a lot of theatre tickets this way, will you not be able to get it authorised without the code?

I’ve now tried 6 different bank cards and not one has worked. Tried laptop, phone, Palace app, same result! Frustrating enough that I’ve already lost our seats without this!

You should be able to authorise the payment through your banking app. My bank has had this system for some time. There was the odd hiccup when it started but usually works now. Download the app from your bank if having a problem. That's where the authorisation is.

My mate was in the queue for ages then got refused loads of times & I managed to get ours but by that time our seats had been sold! If you ring them you get charge the standard 10p per minute & service charge! Last time I rang I was charged almost £5 for 10mins

Last time I rang I was charged almost £5 for 10mins My mate was trying to get ours while speaking on the phone to me, he tried 3 of his families cards, then he tried one of mine, all no good, another mate of ours managed to do it in the end. Thankfully he got our seats, but I can imagine the frustration of those who have lost their actual seats simply because of the delay sodding about finding a card that doesn’t get refused. This is so Palace

Managed to get 3 rows behind my usual seats. Thanks for all the info here, but thanks to our poorly run Box Office, still got caught unawares by a late email after tickets had already gone on sale and then having the card decline issues. We pay a lot of money per year for ‘our’ season ticket seat and it may not mean much to some but it does to us and I know others, it’s also how the Club push season tickets by it being your own seat for the season. Only 1 ticket per season ticket went on sale for Day 1. So why is it so hard for these idiots to make that 1 ticket the same seat? If we miss the deadline and they go sale to Members then that’s on us. Now I’ll just be staring menacingly at the poor Palace fans 2 rows in front in my seats. And it’s not their fault!

Agree with all you say leejaneagles the club is sadly not interested in the loyalty of those of us who buy our season tickets season after season.
