That was a day never to forget for those 51,000 plus who filled a supposedly 47,000 plus capacity stadium. I was behind the goal at the Whitehorse end. Precious memories.

Was in the Holmesdale with my Bro and the Old man (who's still with us, 87 now !). What a night that was

Was also in the Holmesdale with the old man (who's still with us, just shy of 93 now!). I don't have a brother though!

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

Battling for their lives and a very stubborn team defensively. If we keep the ball we can create openings but Burnley will be more than happy to hit us on the counter. 1 0. And I'd be delighted with that.

1979 - what a night!
I was in the main stand and loved every second of it.
A repeat of that tomorrow would be just dandy!

The Palace team of the 80s did not deliver. We are now building a much better side

They did deliver, just not for as long as expected. We just about squeezed into the 80’s before it all went Pete Tong Still, the mid to late 70’s was a great time to be a palace fan

As others have said, Weghorst looks like a good signing. Newcastle thought they were weakening a rival when they purchased Wood but if you looked at Burnley's forum at the time they thought he was a bad influence on the dressing room and was missing easy chances. It could well turn out that Newcastle inadvertently strengthened Burnley and the two play each other on the final day of the season! What a story that could be.

Our games against Burnley are always hard to call. Sometimes Dyche surprises everyone by deciding to play football, while other times we turn on the style and cruise to victory. On paper this has got draw written all over it, but personally I saw a lot of fight in the team against Watford and if we take that into this weekend's game, combined with our better quality players then I think we can win. 2-0 to us.

With a name like 'Wout Weghorst' you are bound to get noticed, and he is a very good player.

I think this is just to difficult to call, Burnley are the type of team that don't suit us.

A draw 1-1 would suit me nicely.

I like the vibe right now, and the set up with Zaha, Mateta and Olise who are all keen and confident. I like Kouyate and Macarthur being available and match-ready. I think Mateta will get increasingly more deadly with games and confidence and Zaha, Olise and Gallagher help relieve his pressure. I think the backline is jelling and I like Clyne getting a few games to speed things up on the right. I think we could be in for a run of wins. Palace's history of late in the EPL has been to finish strongly and I think this might happen again - hopefully. I don't think Burnley will be up to it and their bubble will burst - hopefully. I predict a Palace win by 3 goals.

Not bothered whether we play Butland or Guaita. I want both to be good for us. Butland has potential to be our best goalie and needs to be encouraged to develop himself - he looks to me like he needs confidence - but has the skill and ability. Watford's goal was partially about Clyne not being quite on the same page as Butland and inadvertantly blocking Butland from punching the cross away, but that's forgivable given his lack of games and he should improve. It was Hennesey coming on that used to drive me crazy - not Butland.

Hopefully we will have the lions share of possession and they will not have loads of corners and free kicks to create chances from. Palace to win 1-0 ... a lucky ricochet off Benteke.
