I do agree with the sentiment that Vieira needs to start involving Eze more providing he's fit and ready. No player thrives when they come in and out of the side. He was our standout player by the end of last season and bar injury was about to get called up to England. The thing is, I think he needs to play alongside either McArthur or Gallagher as he will not run around like either of them and cannot be relied on to defend.

It's a quandary as we now have several players who last season would almost certainly have started now sitting on the bench. For my mind Gallagher has not matched his own high standards for the past few games, but I do think part of that is having to compensate for Schlupp playing in the middle. Eze can produce slide rule passes which the likes of Mateta and Edouard would thrive off, plus he has unbelievable close control and an ability to glide past players at speed. As good as Gallagher is he isn't that kind of player. What he is is the type of player who might be there to receive one of those passes and one who will run non-stop for 90+ minutes.

Personally I really hope we see a midfield trio of Eze, Gallagher and Hughes tomorrow, with McArthur and Kouyate offering something different from the bench if needed.

IMHO Eze isn't ready yet. Has looked a little lost when he's come off the bench and against both Millwall and BHA he struggled to impose himself.

Ideally, we need him coming on for say 20 minutes when we are 2 up, but that doesn't happen very often.

A few more u23 games won't do him any harm so he can get that sharpness back

He hasn't played any U23 matches at all, don't know why

'Fraid he has Lanzo, our 2-1 victory away to Chelsea on the 6th Nov, got subbed 90 +4.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

I hear what you're saying, but it was similar when Roy played him on the left. As soon as he moved into the middle we saw the true ability of the lad. Don't get me wrong, I think Vieira has done a great job, but why does he insist on Schlupp in the middle? He is so much better on the left where he doesn't have to see so much of the ball and can just focus on running, crossing and shooting. With Wilf left, Olise right and Eze free to roam in the middle we'd be a handful for most teams.

That can't be the 3 in a 4-3-3. I propose 4-2-3-1, I think it would work there.

Sad thing is, Chelsea is his boyhood club and he is almost certainly going to opt to take his chances there. All very glamourous, but he will be on the bench at best, playing Carabao Cup and meaningless ties against the little sides in the Champions League qualifiers. He will lose a season, possibly two before moving on to fresh pastures. More Loftus Cheek and Danny Drinkwater, than Ngolo Kante or Jorginho.

Come to Palace with a Chelsea buy back clause, play every game, be loved by the fans, and if you really hit the jackpot, go back to Chelsea with a couple of successful years under your belt and an England place, and walk straight in to the starting eleven.

Here's hoping.

I hope you are his agent.

Imagine for one moment how our season would have progressed without CG.

He is an outstanding player and i am sure will be a regular starter for Chelsea next year

I like him but I don't see him playing for Chelsea any time in the near future. I just don't think he shows up in their plans. No inside info, just a feeling. I think next year it's going to be another year out on loan for Conor.
