One of my worst ever games was a 0-1 defeat to Stoke. I was in a rather empty Whitehorse Lane stand, it was absolutely freezing and there was some bloke who just kept calling all the players c*nts.

But also one of the best was against Stoke, 6-3 the year we went up when dowie was in charge…….unfortunately the only home game I missed that season

Only drawback for me is that Selhurst will be filled again with families, girlfriends and friends of freinds. Upper Holmesdale yesterday was a constant flow of people going in and out during the match for hot dogs, drinks and Pringles. Group in front of me played Hello Kitty games on their phones throughout the first half and left after 75 minutes. Hey ho! Couldn't agree more.

One of my best games of recent times was away to Stoke, few years ago, with C.Y.Lee scoring a peach in the dying minutes for a 2-1 win! Think it might also have been the game Bolasie got injured in however
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

I used to live up in the area in the early 1970's. One of the few benefits was watching Stoke's best-ever team. Players like Banks, Pejic, Smith, Bernard, Dobing, Jimmy Greenhoff and Eastham were real quality. They won the League Cup in 1972 after surviving five replays
