It is pretty clear now that regardless if you are vaccinated or not you can still catch, spread and transmit the virus just as easily as unvaccinated.

Sooner or later we will have to get on with our lives and actually cop onto ourselves! Other wise it's the same s*** every year or few months once "cases" rise. It's the same if 100 percent of people are vaxxed! Still have cases and new variants and s***e!

Which part of 75% protection against symptomatic covid is hard to understand.

I’ve had all 3 jabs and am currently laid up in bed with covid. I’m choosing to believe that the jabs have kept me off a ventilator and have kept me alive possibly, but there’s a heck of a lot of people who don’t and are refusing the jabs, not just the footballers

Hope you are feeling better.
In general the vaccinated will fare better against the virus and I know people who have just had it who like you don't feel too bad - they described it as a bad cold.
The unvaccinated need to get jabbed as they are giving those in power the opportunity to - this time - needlessly lock us down again!

Indeed. I’m surprised a hospital in or near Truro has ‘the vast majority’ of its patients unvaccinated, seeing how they view the rest of the country infecting them in the summer. A lot of Lib Dem voters so could explain it. Unsure of vax rate down there. Parts of London are near zero, yes.

I can't find the specific figures but this link it interesting for anyone that wants to see the numbers in their local hospital

For the Royal Cornwall the average over the past month has been 4.8 COVID admissions per day. Last week 5.3 so going up a bit.

So for Croydon University Hospital the monthly average has been 4.7 and the most recent week 6.6 admissions per day.

When the past week data comes out that will be more interesting, I suspect we shall see a sharp increase soon.

From today's PL meeting, oh and see my 2nd post of Dec 18.

"It is understood Liverpool were among a group of clubs who pushed for the postponement of gameweek 20.

After Sunday's draw at Spurs, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp said playing on 26 and 28 December was not feasible.

"It's impossible, we don't have the players," Klopp said. "We have to think we will get an extra case or two. We cannot just push it all through. The 26th and 28th, that's not possible. We would prefer to play but we need help with the fixtures.""

Hmm bit of a turnaround from a few of days ago when Klopp was saying games should be played.

Big surprise Liverpool players didn't have COVID when their game was called off.

The authorities aren't interested in investigating I wonder if they would be as understanding with Palace.
