This.

Atmosphere will be great though. Not playing you for so long will add to it. Looking forward to it. Thing it’ll be fairly close on the pitch, depending on what team you field that is.

I remember when your attendances would be a few thousand higher against Palace, yet only the hardy souls in the away end. I always went in the home stands - didn't used to like the walkway gauntlet on the old ground. When Millwall scored I remember not much celebration from the area I was in. Probably about half Palace, not in colours anyhow. You'll probably find the away end full this time, but plenty of Palace will be amongst the home support. There are a few Palace with Millwall mates alright. I'm not one of them. Nothing personal above the usual rivalry, of course.

Fair enough if that’s your experience. Would thought if a section of the home crowd didn’t celebrate a goal though they would stick out like a sore thumb.

Loads of Old school Palace used to go to both clubs fixtures when the other was away.
I was at the Ipswich 1978 game as a 16 old yewt when it all kicked off, plus a few other games, stood on the Cbl and saw load of faces I'd seen at Palace.

Never seen them as rivals really as we're clearly not in the same league in the hooligan stakes, although thankfully far superior as a club

For a derby in the cup that both fans will be well up for you would think it would be our strongest team unfortunately for a club like us, the fa cup is now as excuse to rest players.

One thing is for certain - we will not be playing on the same day as West Ham!
Millwall, West Ham and Leeds on the same day would put the Met on sick leave!

Absolutely spot on... No way will they have West Ham v Leeds and Millwall v Palace on the same day so fully expect one of us to be on the Sunday.
Am I right in thinking that they don't open the lower tier of the away stand now? If so then we are only gonna get a couple of thousand tickets which is a shame.

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

They got a thread on their site about the Hf coming for them, in jest, of course! I hope we have a good turn out , none of that closing the bottom tier, I thought the away fans had to have 25% of tickets in the cup? Either way, lets hope PV puts out our best team on the day, a cup run is all we seriously have to look forward to, and we had Millwall in the 76 semi final run , could be an omen!

Yep I agree, I’d be surprised if the HF even go.

It's such a slur on Millwall that they don't open the lower tier. Not that I'm sure we'd fill it.

This is easily overridden "on safety grounds".

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)
