I never cease to be amazed at the ineptitude of the catering and refreshment facilities at Selhurst.

I no longer drink alcohol so always try and order their only alcohol free beer (San Miguel 0.0%) Not once this season have they had any in stock in the Stephensons Lounge.

On Sunday against Leicester my son and I were in the Lower Holmesdale. At half time I tried to order Chicken Goujons some Salt & Vinegar Pringles and a packet of Munchies. All were sold out. I did however manage to purchase a warm bottle of regular Coke and a cup of coffee that took the poor girl about a minute to pour from the machine. That prolonged wait enabled me to watch some chap pouring can after can of lager (Carlsberg I think?) into plastic glasses and managing to consistently get two thirds frothy head and one third liquid

Come on Palace, FFS sort this out!

As an aside, been on the Guinness 0.0 for a while - really good!

I see what you’re saying but firstly I’m not sure my 12 year old lad would fully appreciate my bold attempt at boycotting the refreshments when he’s craving a drink or a chocolate bar at half time and secondly I genuinely believe that for me and others publicising our negative experiences on a forum such as this that it will have more impact than a dozen or so people taking an individual stand and not buying their regular half time beverage or snack.

Good points

I appreciate what you're saying about children, having done it with my own & also with my grandchildren it isn't easy. You may be right about a dozen or so people actually boycotting, BUT, does anyone from the powers that be actually read this website, bearing in mind the bbs(*spit*) is the 'official' club supporters forum.

As ME has pointed out, as long as punters keep buying this crap, they will keep selling it.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

It really is baffling how they can't sort this out. I don't even bother trying to get anything before, during or after the game in the Arthur. Even if what you want is available, the staff don't look like they've had a minutes training and almost look annoyed you're asking for something.

Strange thing is that years ago (20 odd years mind) you use to be able to get a decent pie (Pukka I think?) and a cup to tea, pretty much always in stock and volcanically hot. Can't see what possible reason there is to go backwards on the food to save a few quid? Surely they'd make more if they improved the quality or service by even a little bit.

Perhaps Parish could do "Undercover Boss" or something with a fake wig and beard and see what it's like for us mere supporters around the ground!

They keep banging on about how important supporters are, why not show it with some decent catering and not ripping us off!

The trouble with computers, of course, is that they're very sophisticated idiots

i always have to try everything once…..that’s why I’ve only got one kid I suppose

But seriously, I try it every now and then in hope that it’s improved or if I’m desperate. I would assume a lot of people are the same as me, because you wouldn’t chance it through choice

Back in the 70’s and 80’s in my odd trip to Chelsea, they used to have fella’s who squeezed through the terrace’s selling burgers wrapped in foil, they were surprisingly tasty, in fact probably the tastiest food I’ve ever had in a ground, or maybe at that age I was happy to eat any old s***
