It's a tricky one, telling people not to panic, will inevitably create panic.

The original leak came from an internal BP meeting. Not the government or the media. The media isn't just the TV news and papers anymore. We all know fake news spreads like wildfire.

There's no real solution, mostly because there was no real problem to solve in the first place.

Cap purchases to £30 or lower would solve it. It did in 2001 and it stopped the hoarding w@knees in supermarkets last year. Actually the queuing did that, which is effectively the same as it reduces urgency to fight and take what there is and you can.

Don't forget to turm your engines off while queuing guys! You'll need more fuel while polluting & warming up the Earth

I noticed they were at it here too, but it seems to have worn off. I guess people were seeing it on the news and doing it "just in case".

That’s how it started here. Unfortunately it ended up meaning those who need it for work have to queue and because they’ve queued for ages, everyone fills up. Has to be capped

The scene where they smuggle the horse into the Dean's? office and tell the kid to shoot it still makes me laugh like a drain.

prefer belushi up the ladder, looking at the topless girl.
turns to camera & raises both eyebrows.
starts to bounce ladders to next window prior to a horrendous fall back

Warlingham green sold out in 3 hours tonight. This is going to go on and on and on unless they cap purchases to reduce this urgency to buy on a Thursday for next week

It seems strange that a new fuel is introduced (E10) and we have pandemonium at the pumps is there a connection?

Apparently Petrol forecourts ran down their supplies whilst awaiting the new E10 and then the Hgv tanker drivers had acute shortages,so there was a link.

Went to a remote petrol station yesterday. No queue or any cars. As I was putting £10 of petrol in, an old boy parks on the forecourt and wanders into the shop, just in front of me.

He then gets to the till, where he pulls out a £5 and makes his selection of scratchcards.
There is now another motorist waiting to pay for fuel behind me.
The old boy is hesitating over which scratchcards are going to be luckiest.
Another motorist joins the queue behind me.
He makes his choice,...then pulls out a wad of lottery tickets he wants checking.
The old boy is a total c-unit. And I think he knows it.
Lottery tickets finally checked, but he has won a tenner on one of them.
F-ck ME !!
so,..he then selects more scratchcards.

Queue behind me is now 5 people. f-ck knows how i didn't smack the old git.

Petrol stations that are also supermarkets should have separate tills for paying petrol/food or a pay-at-pump option.
