I wonder how Wilf will react to this when he sees it (and I'm sure someone will bring to his attention).

Certainly was best 11 today. I guess he proved them wrong! He was brilliant today.

I suggest you take your rose-tinted specs off. His contribution to those 2 goals was no more important than those of Guehi, who drove forward, McArthur who found space in the box to receive a pass from Wilf and who provided the assist for Gallagher's second and Benteke who's firm downward header into a dangerous area enabled Gallagher to score the first. It's a team game and Wilf played a part in both goals but by no means a starring part IMO.

There is a reason Wilf has made it into the worst PL XI of the first 3 match rounds. It's because over the course of those 3 games he hasn't performed particularly well.

Firstly I didn’t down play any other player involved did I? I’m the first to praise Jimmy’s sweet footwork. Even today I called him the Scottish Iniesta.

Anyway I removed them and tried to find a fault in Zaha for the goals but all I could see was a brain and a foot working together pretty darn well to help us do the hardest thing in football. Didn’t Guehi miss a sitter header..

Then I watched the goals we conceded and thought damn it Wilf you should have been on the goal line to stop them all

He really is awful.

Enjoy your Saturday I hope! Wilf should have stopped Lucas having that shot on our goal shouldn’t he. Tut tut awful

Haha it’s all part of the fun knowing he can ram every bit of criticism down the throat as he’s such a good footballer and earnt every bit of improvement through hard work and dedication

If only he could do that every game like all them others.. Ronaldo and Messi and.. oh wait there is no others.

Bet our new striker will enjoy playing with Wilf!

I thought Wilf was superb today. A joy to watch as were the entire Palace team.

Wilf was up for this, that’s for sure. A very very good performance. Caused them loads of problems they struggled dealing with. Now for consistency.

I saw the match and looked carefully at the extended highlights, and despite the sweetness of Edouard's goals, I think Wilf was our Man of the Match. He was relentless. His teammates were looking for him, and he delivered. Again and again he challenged the Spurs' defense, and his winning PK was the turning point. And, who knows, but perhaps his pugnacious response to the foul riled up Tanagan enough to inspire the fatal foul.

After the game wilf said and I paraphrase
"I enjoyed today as we played football"
Maybe he wasn't enamoured by Roy's tactics and the shout out with PV ironed out some issues. Long may he enjoy his time here because on that form he is unplayable.

I seem to have touched a nerve. Your sarcasm is rather puerile.

As for Zaha against Spurs, it was great to see him doing his stuff. Long may it continue.

The old cliche about form and class springs to mind...Wilf was back to what he does best yesterday.
