We can not cancel loan deal but it can be terminated by agreement with his parent club.

He was sent out on loan because they could not afford his wages and the agreement of a purchase at end of loan at an agreed price subject to certain criteria.

His parent club do not want him back for financial reasons and it looks unlikely we will purchase at the agreed price as criteria not met.

The French club also can not pay his wages so there are a number of possible scenario.

1) We keep him to end of season but do not trigger purchase clause. then:-
a) He returns to parent club
b) He stays with us at a reduced fee (possibly free) similar to Ayew

2) We want him gone so will continue to pay all or or part of his wages at french Club (or parent club) thus getting Loan and squad place back

Since he scored yesterday I think we may do first option and see how he goes and make a cheeky bid if we think he can fill 3rd striker position next season

Thanks that makes sense.

Who do you think will be the 1st and 2nd striker next season

Data probably corrupt given that Tekkers played under such an attack minded manager in a league where goals are easy

Gone to Getafe.

The "loss" of a player I don't know, whose talents and possible contribution to our side was moot, and who we were probably not after.

Surely this is a no brainer if the transfer fee is to be believed. Won't exactly break the bank. This lad can score and I can't help that think that we still do not have the fire power that we require. If Benteke leaves for Wolves we are left with two primary forwards in Edouard and Mateta. That would in my opinion definitely leave space for another forward and this lad fits the bill.

As you can see from the above posts, i rate him unbelievably highly, if he wasn't at Madrid he would be a star, he isn't going to get in above Benzema, the problem is he loves Real.

Your right, he does love Madrid but surely the time will come when realises that he needs to move on. Even if we can get him on loan for the season, although I would like to see him sign permanently.

Really hope so, fingers crossed.

I struggle to imagine Real would have kept him around or had him in the first team in any instance were he useless.

Hopefully he will set his sights further/away and I think the PL and London can often be a big draw for such players.

Still seems ‘pipe dreamy’ for me but you never know!

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Told you this was the one we should have gone for, was available for 8.5m, this season 12 in 18 for Getafe, probably now 30m

Had he come to us he would now be 5 months into a 15 months recovery from some horror injury.
