Not the most important goal, but still my favourite. Don Rogers, our 5th v Man Utd in that 5-0 win You beat me to it. 1973 Unbelievable goal and scoreline in them days to think a team like Palace beating the mighty Red Devil’s 5:0.

I had forgotten the Salako goal against Forest. I brought a ticket from a tout and was sat with the Forest fans near the 1/2 way line. I was pretty quiet when our first goal went in but i could see the ball was on right trajectory to go in, but as you say, just had to wait an eternity for it to hit the back of the net and i went ballistic.

For me, the obvious ones are Puncheon at Wembley and Wilf at the Tampax (the 2nd to be specific). Too young to fully appreciate Stockport. Non obvious was Dougie at Selhurst Park in a 3-0 win over promotion rivals Sunderland. We were building momentum towards the playoffs under Dowie. It was a long ball over his shoulder, smashed on the volley from the D into the top right corner, looping over Mart Poom. Was my birthday too so was there with 12 mates in the Holmesdale end with CRYSTAL PALACE painted in red and blue big letters across our bodies. It still bothers my Charlton supported mate, 14 years on, that he was there with a blue P on his chest. Great scenes when that went it.

When we went 1-0 up v manure at Wembley with 8 minutes to go. Puncheon powered it into our end. Biggest high of my life. Thought we had it. Followed by total depression as Rooney smashed our dreams.

Also when Ian Wright did the same thing at Wembley v manure. Sálalos crossed from the left wing and Wrighty powered it in. Edited by dreamwaverider (04 Aug 2021 8.02am)

The 5-0 thrashing of Man U was before my time as a Palace supporter (from an army family so lived all over the place and didn't have a particular favourite football team when growing up)

Jim Cannon v Ipswich at Selhurst in 79. Do you mean the dispute resulted in cameras not being there that day? I was there. It would be awful if we were to be able to see it again after all this time and it turned out not to be as good as we remember it Only joking

A great game and lovely first time strike (let’s the ball run across him and smashes it top corner after a pass from Wrighty) Was standing behind the little wall in holmesdale with my cousin who was staunch Millwall as a pair of 10 year olds the bragging rights were amazing after they had come back from 3-1 down and they loads of their yobs in the home end as usual going bonkers made it so sweet as they folded ( also beat a very good Millwall side on the day tbf with Sherringham, Carter and Cascarino) a lovely little sub plot was Gray and Hurlock kicking lumps out of each other in midfield! Magic day….. Yes, for me that takes some beating, also Wrighys goal at Plough Lane from almost the half way line

Already mentioned, but Puncheon against United at Wembley. The explosion was unbelievable and by far the best I have ever experienced live. And that goes against victories in CL here in the Netherlands. And as seen on TV: Andros' strike against City.
