I’d have to say, Waterfront by Simple Minds, it still makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end when I get the chance to crank it up loud when I’ve got the house to myself

more great drums.
needs LOUD as you say

although old enough, this had bypassed me.
I'd listened to it rcently a few times (due to Fripps involvement with barking mad Toyah)
really enjoyed it & proper old school, pomp.

'All Shook Up' by Elvis being played on the jukebox in Morelli's coffee bar at Broadstairs.

On holiday there with my parents and was literally shaken by it. Insisted on going back to Morelli's every morning to invest another 6d.

Now have a copy in my jukebox at home. Always the first record I play.

Morelli's is still there. I was only in there last week (albeit takeaway only at the moment).

A few...

Whole of the Moon by Waterboys

This Charming Man by the Smiths

But still for me probably New Rose by the Damned as that changed the world.

Oh! really martin. Good of you to let me know. I often think of that place and not surprised it's still going. It was always very popular (even 63 years ago!)

Bet the old jukebox is gone though!

Three that spring readily to mind:

Heartache Avenue - The Maisonettes
Clues - Robert Palmer
What A Way To End It All - Deaf School

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham
