If Juve pay 75% of his 325 per week wages then it's a great deal. Originally posted by dazza
We are currently favourites and Juventus have agreed to pay 75% of his wages. Burnley made an offer tonight but Ramsey turned them down. Talks at an advanced stage a relatively cheap signing & a replacement for Luka & Kouyate when they go. We will see if this gets over the line. Nketiah is also looking very promising, Mateta supposedly signing for St Etienne by end of next week saving Palace £14m as the above will be a cheaper signing.

A fully fit Ramsey would improve our midfield, but the big wobbly but is that him getting and staying fully fit seems unlikely. To be honest, if it were a loan then it could be a good option with Kouyate away and McArthur still injured if he's match fit right now. A permanent deal seems like it would be beyond our means, plus it would go against our recent policy of signing younger players. Personally this looks more like a Newcastle kind of deal with their deep pockets, but stranger things have happened.

Maybe he’s had a big pay check over the last few years and now that he is financially set for life he’s thinking (at 31) he just wants to go somewhere he can play and enjoy his football again? Isn’t that the usual crap they come up with when they need game time to ensure a place in the international squad when it’s a World Cup year!

On to whether I want him to come. No thanks; injury prone (and we've seen enough of that with Wickham etc.); could also be divisive in the dressing room.

They can afford to be . Basically a free 60,000 seater ground gives them the funds to pursue any player that is connected with anyone else .
What they pulled of with that stadium deal is incredible. They was paying scouts part time and later when Moyes first joined he started to put in place what was required it was a bit like when Big Sam came to us and made us start to use the sports science etc. Nothing wrong with hijacking its business again agents love this. This Ramsay transfer wont happen which I am glad about he is not worth it he has done nothign for a long time plus if he is willing to drop down to Palace level you know hes at the end. I agree - a loan for the rest of the season and Newcastle with a bunch of experienced mercenaries might just pull off the Houdini act!

May not be as injury prone but feels like Jack Wilshere scenario. Hope if we were looking to strengthen attacking midfield options (not sure why as it is an area we currently look fairly strong in) we would be looking for somebody more long term.
