It was beyond belief and legacy of it will last for a long, long time. And ultimately an act of shooting themselves in the face.

If they had played along we would have ended up with the softest of soft Brexits. Freedom of Movement still in place, Single Market membership, so on and on. And ironically probably been far far closer to effectively joining up again because it would have been utterly ludicrous.

The Brexit party would still taken votes but primarily from the Tories again as it would have been May who bought in this ludicrous Brexit whilst Labour could have said how they honoured the vote and now just wanted to move on.

The EU's successful off-loading of the UK is hardly of interest to an incumbent USA president.

Nor to anybody else come to think of it.

Communism socially won the cold war.

In Britain the worst for division was Thatcher. Originally women voted for her. Then basically London and the South East as she favoured the City. The rest of the country hated her. There was no Labour/Tory reconciliation. There was basically fighting on the streets. Dole was about a tenner and an entire generation lived on petty to more dangerous crime. You are currently reaping the benefits.
Thatcher devastated non Tory areas on purpose but there was always another thing to keep her in - often tenuous enough. Her own husband and son branching off into illegal arms dealing barely gets a mention. And her own party wanted to stab her in the back. Yet, Tories still think she was great. That's divisive for you. Really Trump didn't even get close - despite the media fury.

There are nutcases on all sides of politics. There is however no equivalence between left and right for censorship and misrepresentation. The media is a 24 hour leftist propaganda machine.

Trump did nothing except upset people who can't handle opposition. He dared to take on the globalist agenda.

The arrogance of Remainers was and is a shameful chapter in Britain's history. You can sling your mud and remain in denial as long as you like but the fact remains.

Yeah, the media really helped Jeremy Corbyn over here, especially the press, the right are the worst losers ever, stolen election? Do me a favour, Joe won hands down with the biggest vote ever, trump lost with the biggest vote bar Joe"s, but lost none the less!

No right censorship? These words were from CP, but spoken by an actor.

Voted for Trump but his stolen election antics and lying about it since then have made me glad that Biden has won. I will disagree with almost everything Biden does, and I will find the individuals who make up his administration to be insufferable knobs. Biden has nay impossible task to walk the knife edge between a frenzied democratic party that is out for blood and moderates who just want him to manage the COVID response and recovery.

This is time for the GOP to take its lumps, do some gatekeeping about who will hold power in the party and allow the left to overstep as they inevitably will and let the winds of public opinion start blowing against them.

Kitchen table issues win elections, and my bet is the new BLM, critical race theory orthodoxy will push suburban voters back to the GOP if the GOP can't shed some of the QANON types.
