One player who may go is Clyne I think his contract is to January. I am happy for him to stay but if another PL comes offers him?

Nobody is gonna come in for Clyne. Hr had been injured 2 years, no Top 6 club will take him. He found a good place at Palace and is just getting gametime. He will surely want to stay. Club just didn't know if he could get back to playing regularily and they gave him a short term contract, negociations for a longer one will be swift and an extension announced soon.

I've just had a look at the players with expiring contracts on Transfermarkt. I'd sign a couple of these personally.

Out of those,Thauvin might be the only one willing to come to Palace. Good player, recovered after injury. Was in the PL with Newcastle when he was very ypung. Should have gotten more chances.

matteo...

given the fact the french league is more than likely going to have a fire-sale in the next 2 windows...what bargains could you recommend that would be realistic transfers for palace?

I garland these comments with concurrence.

I agree however imo there are other contracts that need to sorted first (Guiata). I believe Clyne is more than happy to stay but the more game time he gets, the fitter he will become. Who knows a promoted club or lower PL club may offer him a good deal. Only time will tell

I cannot envisage a situation whereby Guaita,Hennessey and Butland are all at the club next season.

Correct so we should be concentrating on tying down Guiata, as I suggested before Clyne

PVA's contract is up in the summer so if he doesn't intend to sign a new contract it would be better to replace him in January whilst we can still get a fee for him

The replacement is already here,Mitchell a better defensive option.

We should be looking at players whose contracts are expiring in the summer and are therefore likely to be sold now before being given away for nothing.

I have no idea who comes into this category but if there is a cheap young McArthur replacement we should be looking at him.

Conversely we should be spying on the Brentford recruitment team to see who they are looking at and snatch him up from under their noses

The obvious replacement is Loftus-Cheek , he has played here, he is domiciled in London and plays in that position.

Not sure he's as good as he was before his injuries. Perhaps Gallagher from Chelsea is a better option.
