The only people I know who gave a toss were people who vote Labour. If people are so weak of mind that they are bothered by stuff like that then I have zero sympathy for them. It was just an excuse for certain people who like to defy the government to ignore rules and you and I know it.

ooh, errr, the title is a bit secsual. I just wanted to critique Government a bit. So Government have used CV19 as a useful distraction from Priti Patel's employees abuse case, and BJ's giving of Public Money to some American woman he has shagging. So Government failed on PPE and protection of front line workers, and the track and trace system is a farce. Meanwhile, Cummings is still gainfully employed by Government, in spite of clear breaches of Covid19 restrictions. And Starmer needs to grow a pair and is required to rip the Government a new one. and the UK ridicules the US elections ? So the CONS are corrupt, who knew? But it is interesting, corrupt CONS, civil war in the camp, cummings is supposedly next , if he can see his way to the exit door, boris in the long queue when smokin joe gets his foot in the white house, will have to swallow pride and make up with our eu friends, interesting none the less!

You just championed the private sector. The truth is no private sector organisation of any decent size would allow any of the current cabinet anywhere near it's leadership positions. Not even "failing grayling"? He"s just landed a 7 hour a WEEK 100k a year number, just beer money you might say to a man of his expertise!

A private company could never be responsible or deliver projects on time within budget. It would mean they are simply not unsuccessful enough to be awarded any more government contracts. If a water company, for example, is not pouring effluent into our rivers while stuffing its owners bank accounts full of cash, then the tories simply could not understand it.

We know that Starmer and the left are Anti Private-sector. For the record, I have just renewed my membership of the Conservative Party! I will leave this debate to others as I concentrate my efforts on those discussions relating to our beloved team and football in general. That would be the same private sector who generate ALL of the money the state spend. Those pyriahs of society! Unashamedly walking and living in this country, how very dare they.

This again? Hmm I see your side on this. Had the OP focussed on todays resignation and, what I suspect is continual in fighting somehow hitting the headlines, at least it would be topical. On that, the titbit that stood out for me was BJ's fiancee voicing her disapproval of a senior government appointment. Ones thought- assuming true and actually listened to and taken into account (?) - is WTF!

This is my final contribution on this thread. I refuse to respond to the visceral anti-Conservative tirade as I have no desire to provide it with the "Oxygen of publicity", a phrase coined by the late, great Margaret Thatcher.I don't wish to dignify such comments with a response. Goodbye. Dont you pop up again on page 4? Sure Thatcher invented that phrase?

If Ronald McDonald was announced as the new special advisor next week I'd barely raise an eyebrow.
