Fine line playing those tactics ,like Leeds as well. Norwich played similar and look what happened to them.Especially if you are pointless after 3 or 4 games

Anyone who predicts what will happen in May by what happened in the opening weekend is a fool. That said... Spurs, West Ham and our game could have gone either way. Otherwise, pretty much went to form. And by "form" I mean club wealth and squad value/depth. So, people talking about this being our best ever window - I think it has to be. Full credit to our management. They realised, with an ageing team having to play to the energy-sapping levels Roy demands, if we don't invest - and invest big - we will go down. All our plans of ground development and seeing players emerge through an enhanced academy will go up in a puff of smoke. We will revert to chasing our financial tails, in the same old dilapidated ground while having our best players picked off one by one by the clubs from the division we just left. Thus, a thought to consider when people talk of players being beyond our financial reach and the impact of Covid. We need short term pain for long term gain. Thus, maybe we will get Ramsey..?

Having said that, remember our first two game last season - we had relegation written all over us, so far too early, although it's clear both Fulham and WBA have a lot to learn - read today that Baggies might be getting Gallagher on loan.

So out of the above 10, Villa is playing like crazy and beat Liverpool 7-2. Grealish and Watkins are really linking up well and last day could bring in Rashica too. I really doubt they can get relegated this year, so that leaves 9. Leeds transfered Raphina from Rennes and he's a real class act, which I think is enough to get points over the line. They also have Helder Costa there. So that leaves 8. Among those is Crystal Palace too, even hplding on to Zaha. So it's gonna be a tough battle especially as WBA is doing well, have found a mobile center forward in Callum Robinson and he is backed by Matgeus Pereira and Grosicki, who are PL players, Brighton has a really good manager and pretty much dominates their matches. Southampton has Danny Ings and he might get good service from Theo Walcott,a player who guarantees 10 assists a season if he is fit. I surely wish Eze would guarantee that too, as he turns 23 years old. The really poor one seems to be Fulham. I don't like Sheffield or Burnley either, but they are tough nuts to crack.

Really, is this the WBA who have one point from four games and a goal diff of -8. And the really good brighton manager who almost got them relegated last season, and this season play great football, but have 3 points from 4 games and unless they siet their defence out arr going to be in serious trouble. Soton have Danny ings, but little else, if he gets injured, they're going to be in trouble too....

Spartakev, what I saw from WBA was that they had 3-0 with Chelsea at half time and that they found a center forward-Callum Robinson, which was what they qere missing in the Championship, with only Austin and Hal Robson. Maybe I'm wrong and they have defensive issues, like you say, but we can't judge anything after points from 3 matches. I am talking about overall squad and they seem to have gathered a good PL squad for a newly promoted side. And Brighton...well, they will be better by the year, as lobg as they save themselves. Many good investments done there in really young players, some of whom have actually started playing: Alzate, McAllister. Others are waiting their turn: Gyokeres etc.

Teams have been going from heroes to villains with the blink of an eye this season, with Everton, Villa and Leeds probably the only real exceptions in terms of consistently good performances. Fulham the worst team I've seen so far, but they seem to be trying to grab a few players last minute. RLC would be a big boost. You have to feel for Burnley supporters. Imagine signing a replacement back-up keeper and a Brighton reject and then being told "well, that's us done". Palace seem to fall in (as usual) with the likes of Saints, Newcastle and West Ham in terms of one week good, next week bad. Eze looks like the ball is sewn to his foot and seems to glide around the pitch. He has a lot to learn, but I think he is going to make a real name for himself. WBA could go either way for me. They perhaps don't have the quality of other teams, but I like Bilic as a manager. Sheffield Utd have looked a shadow of the team that started last season. They too perhaps lack quality, but for me it is really down to whether Brewster is worth his millions and whether their style of total football can still produce results. For all their good football, Brighton look so porous. You can't leave space like they have been doing and finish in the top 10. Potter might address that, or they might be happy to continue winning plaudits without points
