Maxim is not thqt old, but the problem with this is that you're jumping to a conclusion after one good touch. He is very, very slow. For the PL would be classified as extremely slow.

From the Romania first 11 (Tatarudanu gk- Burca, Chiriches, Grigore, Bancu- Stanciu, Cretu, Maxim- Deac, Alibec, Coman) I could hardly recommend anyone. Some are decent, but they are either too old (Grigore 34 for a center back, Deac 33 for a wide midfielder), too expensive for what they offer (Coman-15 million) or yoo slow (Alibec, who is the makn center forward and makes Berbatov look hard working, Maxim, left back Bancu) or too expensive (Chiriches just cost Sassuolo 10-11 million after being mostly injured, Stanciu is a decent attacking midfielder but not too special and definitely not worth 8-10 million that Slavia Prague wants).

Only decent one would be Burca, used as right back, but who is actually a center back. He'd cost about 2-3 million. Some more Romanian central defenders who are ok for Crystal Palace are Adrian Rus, Virgil Ghita, Andrei Chindris or Pascanu (all under 23 and cost about 1 million).

Among the U21 box-to-box midfielders who could adapt in the PL I would name Darius Olaru (5 million), Lorand Fulop (0.5 million), Andrei Ciobanu (1.5 million). And left footed attacking midfielder Morutan who I see playing as right winger in the future, but I don't know if the owner of Steaua would sell for as little as 5 million. I also liked the center forward Andone but he broke his leg twice in the last year.
